Any direction on building stronger quality and governance frameworks- the one you are discussing, in and around AI initiatives?

How do we obtain the source data and can we read/extract data from pdf files the same way?

How difficult is it train the open source model on premise with domain specific data such that it approaches the proprietary model in accuracy. Obviously would depend on the use case, however, would you say it is certainly doable to take an open model, train it in a specific domain and get a result (at least within that specific domain) that is significantly better than the proprietary model? Is there a yardstick benchmark that would allow a business to identify which open model may be best for various internal use cases so that business owners can make more informed decisions on which model to invest their time in to create value?

I would say that it is difficult enough, in initial investment and then ongoing monitoring and training, that you should first look to a foundation model + good context (RAG) + good prompt engineering to solve your problem first. That is your better and easier route to improvement.

I would have loved to see you emphasize the fact that LLM is being used as an agent and that that’s what makes Agentic AI so powerful. I wonder why creators of videos like these don’t stress or repeat that key aspect when trying to explain a new concept!

That is called a Lightboard. By a company named Revolution. They are not cheap but my company uses it for lots of things so it's worth it for us. There may be more accessible versions of this as well.

Very informative. I have a question though. I am working on a chatbot with RAG architecture to handle repetitive questions or tasks. Most of the use cases are administrative or simply public data from the website (e.g. is parking available). However, I need to make sure I can "redact" any PII/PHI from the user input. How do you suggest I approach that?
@dwoodlock
@dwoodlock Күн бұрын
I haven't tried this myself. But solutions may include: a. telling the user not to put in their name and such, b. using old fashioned techniques (regex's, capital letters) to find names, phone numbers, MRNs, and such and removing them, c. asking a local LLM to remove any PHI that it sees before sending it to a cloud LLM, and d. having a good contract with a cloud LLM service such that if any PHI leaks through, it will not be retained by the service or uses in future training.

To Grok: Pose one question (the same question) to 9 different AI Systems. Using them all to group think of the solution, what is my probability of having the most appropriate/right/correct answer? Answer: The probability of getting the most appropriate answer increases with the number of AI systems you consult, especially if their methodologies vary. However, this approach might not always yield the "correct" answer in fields where subjectivity or complex reasoning is involved, but it will certainly increase the confidence in the answer by providing a broader consensus or highlighting areas where there's significant disagreement among systems, which can itself be informative.

Thanks for the video! It’s great to see how the RAG really works. I understand that RAG is quite good at organizing answers with text. How about replacing the CSV files with large Excel sheets and needing answers from different columns in the same row? Will the RAG perform well in that case? I find that while the response is often correct, sometimes it jumps to different rows and makes up answers. What is your take on using Excel sheets as documents for RAG?

I prefer a model provider with good data privacy terms. This is similar to hosting an application in your tenant in a cloud provider. With appropriate contractual terms, this works fine.

VectorDBs are supposed to be optimized for the task - storing text with their embeddings and then fast searching for the closest documents.
