Following.🤠👍 I just got a refurbished Hatsan Flash 22 caliber. I really don't have a whole lot to say about it since it is quite cold out for testing and all I have is a hand pump. I've only shot it twice outside using the Crosman Premiere Hollow Point pellets. They grouped extremely tight at 15 yards, but at 30 yards they opened up considerably. I have considered opening it up and adjusting the hammer spring to bring down the velocity from the 1000+ FPS to about 850-880 FPS if possible.

Thank you very much for this video. 🤠👍 I believe it will help me with my Hatsan Flash, because I pulled a very tight weed eater string through the barrel with a patch to clean the barrel and I believe I must have screwed up the o-ring on the inside of the barrel. It is my very first PCP and it is driving me a little crazy, lol.

Question what’s the part number on the bottle
@recklessjunkie
@recklessjunkie Ай бұрын
Are you talking about going from hot to cold and the poi shift and shotgun like results caused by the time of year it is and the effect of cold temps and bottle pressure changes? If so it’s been hell for me the last month I had a very nice tune for all my rifles and now they are shooting like completely untuned heaps of s**t lol thing is I don’t remember it being such an issue before but then again slugs are fussy and I tuned my guns in a 100+ degree weather so yeah that’s definitely gotta be the culprit I guess I’ll document the setting on my guns and I guess figure out a winter tune for each one yay!!! Haha that’s what keeps it fun right ? Thanks bud.
@MontanaAirGunner
@MontanaAirGunner 19 күн бұрын
Yeah definately the tune is gonna change in the temperature difference. Although most of the times its just the projectile speed that changes in that, if you don't have too many gizmos on the barrel. I have a different moderator that I change between the seasons, as long as the projectile speed is the same. What I found out also is that the accuracy changes if the platform heats up or cools down all of a sudden. Have had bad luck with leaving my pcp to cook in the sun on a competition. I have realised to case my pcp inbetween rounds if there is a long wait. That has definately helped me.

Yes, measuring the dB is a tricky thing. It is also a tricky thing to measure and compare the dB 5 feet away from the muzzle. Take a look on the other testing I did on this particular moderatos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn2UY4l-qL1om6c

Thank you. This was a very interesting video. I have a Flash 22 caliber, and the bolt handle is stuck half way. It happened when I was pulling the bolt back in order to cycle in another pellet. The bolt simply stopped midway, and will not release. I am wondering if you have any insight as to what might be going on. Thank you!

I had that happen once, but might be a different thing with you. My hammer spring had jumped for some reason out of the slot that it is in the hammer, and thats why I could not cock it anymore. I would recommend taking the action from the stock and looking on the back of the action where the hammerspring is. Maybe that helps out!

No problem 👍 Glad I could help! Theres a few good mods you can do pretty easily to it. I would have liked to have the lever version of the action. Because it would have been better for my messed up hand to pull the reloading :D Hammer spring upgrade and installing the regulator with a tube are the easiest ones. Those for sure are good for power and accuracy. PEEK valve is one that is harder to get, but the power levels after that upgrade is on another level. Flash is a great PCP for the money and I have really enjoyed owning one.

Sent my Impact M3 in for warranty work before the warranty expires.... Has a very slow negligible leak but since it was still under warranty I sent it in. While its there I am having the front reg delete done as well. On a side note, do you experience the first shot being low and slow after the gun sits for a while or after filling up with air?
@MontanaAirGunner
@MontanaAirGunner 2 ай бұрын
I experienced that after some time of owning the M3 as new there was some "creep" on the first shot. I usually purged the first shot to balance everything out and then continued. I have not had months of experience with this setup yet, but so far I have not had the first shot problem with this on the range.

@MontanaAirGunner 2 ай бұрын
It is basically turning the M3 into M4 with higher reg settings. I have my regulator set at 160 bar for slug shooting for PRS. Deleting the front reg will give you significantly faster refills between shots and in some cases it just works better. I think that is why they have done it so on the M4 again. I think they do use a different regulator on the M4 but from the old M3's you can then just swap it to a new one and its basically like the M4

Thanks man! the 700cc bottle has been working well with me, just as long as you get a good valve to it. I would say that the 700cc is one of the easiest upgrades to do to the setup. One thing to keep in mind is that sometimes you get into trouble with the barrel length and the moderator you are using. That happened with me but got it fixed easy.

It’s difficult to measure the impact of the suppressor. It changes the sharpness of the sound too. Donnyfl suppressors are all roughly the same price. If noise reduction is a bigger concern the mobility, I’d get a larger suppressor. The Emperor is $40 more and it’s twice the size. I have it on my .30 AEA HP SS and all I can hear is the valve and hammer slap. I have no problems hunting coyotes on my in laws 0.25 acre lot in an upper middle class neighborhood at night. I bought it in a .457/.50 size so I can use it on my .457 challenger. With the extender on it, it makes the Challenger pretty quiet too. Not quite backyard friendly, but it’s quiet enough that nobody would think it’s a gun.

If you are too close, you may overload the dB meter. Then all shots and moderators sound the same. Or at least, the difference reported by the device will be smaller than it actually is. When your meter is one foot away, an inch variation in distance will make a large difference in the reading. Is the end of the barrel what sets the placement of the dB meter, or the end of the moderator? If the former, a longer moderator will measure a larger advantage than it actually has. This question become almost moot, if you are 3 to 6 feet away from the meter. Further away may be more representative of what your ears hear. Or the ears of the humans next door. Or the ears of your quarry.

I have been looking for a review on the ronin, I want to put it on a 50 caliber Megalodon. I don’t need whisper quiet, i just want to tone down the crack the rifle makes some amount. I don’t want to throw away funds on stuff that doesn’t work. Think it would be effective on a full power 50 caliber that has 4500 psi tanks? You make a good review video I would like to tell you, I’m new to airguns , I’ve seen a few other videos where they claim the moderator actually improved shot grouping, it would seem you just proved that to be true. I will sub your channel. Thank you for this review.
@kungfoochicken08
@kungfoochicken08 4 ай бұрын
If mobility isn’t an issue, I’d go with the larger Emperor. It’s 11”, compared to the Ronin’s 5.5”. It’s only $50 more than the Ronin, but you’re getting at least twice as much suppression. They sell a 6” extender for it that’s $60 if you want even more. I packed mine with “motorcycle exhaust packing” that you can get on Amazon for $10. Get the 0.40 thick pad and then you’ll have to pull that in half to fit it inside the Emperor. The big bore guns just move so much more air, especially at 4500psi. If you’re already going to put $180 down for a Ronin, you’re going to be much happier spending a few dollars more to get the Emperor. I have it on my .457 Challenger. With the extender and motorcycle exhaust stuffing, it’s right on the edge of being backyard friendly. DonnyFL sells a Great Kami too. It’s 16” long.
@noonespecific9463
@noonespecific9463 4 ай бұрын
@@kungfoochicken08 , I was just looking at a Great Kami the other day. It’s going to be the best overall I think, options are limited. I already dropped a small fortune on this adventure, I might as well go all in. I could live without one, I don’t have to worry about being backyard friendly. I have 2 a500 steel targets hanging in my front yard , one at 50 yards and one at 75, it’s 12:23 AM as I type this and I could get up and go outside and blast away at my targets and no one would hear it, no one close enough. I still like the idea of a decent moderator, I could shoot it where I work if I tone it down just a touch. Thanks for the good advice though.
@kungfoochicken08
@kungfoochicken08 4 ай бұрын
@@noonespecific9463 The Great Kami is great. It’s got room for you to put the motorcycle exhaust packing in there too. You can play around with it and see what works best for you. Turning down the PSI to 2600-3000 will help reduce noise too, though you might have to re-zero your sights when you jump back up to 4500.
