This video has so many issues and it just don't work now. First, it has nothing to do with "fixing" the "no boot disk" issue of the boot media. It is basically how to manually create MBR partitions on a target SSD and dd copy individually the partitions from the GPT image. However, the Batocera image is now 8GB extracted and it cannot be copied on the FAT32 partition of GParted boot media, so you need a third drive. This is just stupid

thanks for pointing that out, 8GB image size will be culprit, not sure my other video - boot from USB works for you, it's simpler, I'm not sure how to fix it yet as I don't have a test PC atm, but can test how to write 8GB to a GParted partition if that can be formatted to other formats e.g. NTFS

ok, tested, you can use Rufus to write GParted iso to usb with options "Partition scheme=GPT" & "File system=NTFS", then you can write the Batocera 8GB image to the USB or of course you can burn the Batocera image to to USB w/ Rufus, boot off Batocera USB, then Menu > System Settings > Install On A New Disk to install it on local disk if that works for you, it just take time to re-download the image again. Feel free to share you brilliant idea if you have any better one.

Ya lo solucioné!!, lo que hice fue grabar la USB de Gparted en GPT y en NTFS, forzosamente todo el procedimiento del vídeo se tiene que hacer desde una PC con UEFI 😊

I'm impressed by the quality and clearness of this tutorial, how long did it take to prepare? I will take a look at this for updating software but only if installed on the server. What do you recommend, file exists filter or product code? Also what's the difference between update level rule and package level rule?

Thanks for watching, it been 3 years and I think you might need multiple filters e.g. OS filter, file or folder exist should be good enough but you might find product code suits you better depends on the situation

I've completed all the steps and seemingly created the drive successfully, as everything displays exactly as it should within your video, but still no luck, as it boots to a black screen and no further (no Batocera splash screen or anything like that). @@andreaborzoni9447 This is after the USB has been made following their instructions. There have been no steps missed. There is no .img at this point. It is in an extracted state on the USB, as directories and files.

yes, you can pick up calls from iPhone with the watch, it's loud enough indoor and outdoor as long as your surrounding is not noisy.

You don't need Organisation ID or Apple Customer Number in order to register iOS devices on ABM to Intune, if your iPhones already on ABM, you need follow the instructions here "learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/enrollment/tutorial-use-device-enrollment-program-enroll-ios" to link ABM to Intune before you can sync devices to Intune, hopefully that make sense, thanks

does support Mi Pay (Similar to Apple, Google or Samsung pay), but no supported card in AUS, in UK only curve card is supported, if you're in East Euro, you are lucky, there are a lot of support cards you can use

Hey Wilson, my issue is that device is not displayed in intune all devices nd can be seen in abm and enrollment token.... Need to factory reset.... But when connecting device to itunes only gives restore option for supervised device.... Any suggestions how to factory reset supervised device....

Sorry for the late reply, I was on holidays earlier. I haven't came across something like that. You may try to restore a backup from iTunes prior to joining ABM which might help, not too sure, sorry about that

Anyone looking to use Batocera v5.27+ or v30+ on old legacy BIOS hardware... After working passively on it since v33 introduced MegaBezels, I finally did it!! So far, no issues with Batocera v35 booting an MBR USB 2.0 drive on non-UEFI legacy BIOS. Here's how: I used Windows 7, Rufus (portable), and MiniTool Partition Wizard 12 (free, and portable if you'd like), but any OS and disk management app should do as long as it has the options mentioned in step 4. 1.) Flash Batocera normally. Boot from it. Let it run through the install and expansion process. Let it load (wait 5 mins or so for good measure). Shut down from menu. 2.) Remove your Batocera drive. Boot into Windows and reinsert Batocera drive. 3.) Open MiniTool Partition Wizard, locate your Batocera drive in the app and triple-check it's what you will be clicking on! 4.) Right-click the drive header (not on it's partitions) and select 'Convert GPT to MBR.' Then, right-click again and select 'Rebuild MBR.' Finally, right-click the FAT32 partition and select 'Set Active.' (I restarted in between each option and was greeted with "Failure to boot." I also applied each step after selecting it, but I don't think either of these steps will matter.) 5.) Restart your PC and boot into the Batocera drive! Feel free to pass this info along wherever you'd like, or post a video tutorial and make some sweet ad revenue off of this info! I'm just happy it works!!

No, you are going to wipe the internal drive and install Betocera unless you have 2 drivers, but please don’t try it until you know what you are doing :)

Hello, It works like your video, up to "dd if=/dev/loop1p1..." it says: "dd: failed to open '/dev/loop1: not a directory" I don't understand why "loop1p1" when in the /dev folder we only see "loop1". I modified only the first partition (NTFS in 10Go) to accommodate Batocera of 6Go. Thank you for your help. (sorry I'm French, I use google translate)

Your usb should be bigger than 4GB as your betocera image already 2.5GB, ideally 8GB or more will be the best

When uncompressed from the GZ file, the IMG file is around 6gb. This is too large for FAT32 file system. I have no idea why your image file is only 2.5gb.

@@MattLarosehe is using am older batocera version. I tried and tried. I just bought a lenovo m93p on ebay for $65 and a 2.5" 500gb hdd from Amazon for $20. It boots from internal just fine. I used a usb to sata cable to flash batocera 35 to the hdd. Otherwise just boot from usb. Even after I got the 6 gb iso on the gparted live usb. It still gave me errors and only booted to "MBR BOOT ERROR"

@Matt Larose Ah, that rings a bell, I do recall the following answer from Jason, when the time I created this video the image size was only that small, it has already grown 3 times in size! Please try NTFS, hopefully Jason's answer resolve your problem, thanks May be time for me to update the video Jason Chalifour 4 months ago @Wilson Cheng with the newer version it is well over 4GB. However, you can use NTFS, you just have to make sure your BIOS is set to legacy for that login.

Have you onboard your phone to ABM as well as a MDM server? You need to do that first before you will see the management screen. Check out my other video for this. Onboarding a iOS device with Apple Configurator will wipe the phone

@@jordanschuld4744 I'm not sure which stage you're at, have you checked whether your device has been added to ABM (Apple Business Manager)? Then you assign the device to an MDM, etc. If you've these 2 steps done, you should see the Management Screen.

You can't hide the native apps according to MS learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/configuration/device-restrictions-ios#show-or-hide-apps You can however Delete built-in apps with iOS 12+, but I haven't got a chance to test it, thanks for your ideas by the way support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208094

Hello! I’m using the S1 but I see that I don’t have good synchronisation. For the weather app to update every time I have to open the app. I didn’t have this problem with my Xiaomi phone. I have no idea what I need to do to make it work as I’m new to apple, I’m using iPhone 13

To be honest with you, I’m having the same issue and it didn’t happen to miband which uses other app for syncing data. Apart from the whether issue I’ve also noticed it uses 2 Bluetooth connections for messages and calls while Android only uses 1! The sync time for watch faces, firmware updates, etc took twice as long! I’m not sure whether Xiaomi/70mai is going to fix their issues in the future, i will consider amazfit in the future otherwise.

Thanks a lot for coming back so fast. I just bought the watch today and I’m connecting it to iPhone 13. I have 3 questions that would much appreciate your help with. 1- I did not find Amazon Alexa in Mi Fitness app. I have both watch and app up to date so is this something not compatible with iPhone? If yes that would be a bit strange as Xiaomi Sweden confirmed it is working! 2- Is there an easy way to reach the wallet/cards rather than going to the menu and searching for it since it’s not even in alphabetical order? 3- I noticed there’s always 2 widgets one black and one in colors (like sleep, steps..etc), what is the difference between both? Q1: Alexa is considered as an watch app which only available when you pair it with Android Phones (install it automatically via MiFit Android App), same apply to the Watch app store (only has 4 apps) is also not available on iPhone. Q2: If you're referring to credit cards, I'm not too sure as we don't have a supported card in AUS Q3: They're just shortcuts to different detailed information e.g. heart rate, steps, sleeps. In short, widgets show summary, tap on them give you detailed info. Hope it helps, Like + Subscribe will be much appreciated, thanks

What was not clear for me is why each widget , like sleep, being repeated twice in different colors, but I believe it’s just to change the look. @ahmed kalei Q1: If you check out the video at 9:14 or the link below, you will notice "Amazon Alexa" is available on the Android table on the left as well as "Apps" just right below Xiaomi Pay. I'm using iPhone 13 as well but I couldn't see them on the Mi Fitness app, with that being said, my region/country is set to AUS, so might be slightly different than yours. Alexa works well and quick on Android, but can only show texts, it can't talk. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWG2mneap8xqhc0 Q3: that's possibly the default settings, I might have changed them since, I couldn't remember now. I'm sorry about that, unfortunately KZbin doesn't have the option to lower the music volume once uploaded. I need to reupload the video in order to reduce the volume, may be you can try to turn on CC, although it's 100%, it will give you some ideas at least. Yes you definitely can, the only issue is you can only make calls from the watch to someone already called you because it can’t access your contact list and doesn’t have a dial pad

Hyea, Got a small problem. I've followed your vide, and when I get to the profile enrollment I keep getting Invalid profile. I've made sure to set default profile and set the profile on the device but still no luck. We've allowed all devices and our Apple push cert is all up to date. any suggestions??

It doesn't support app install on the watch when paired with iPhone, Alexa is actually an app apart from the apps in the watch app store, so Alexa will not be available unless you paired the watch with Android.

previous comments have indicated the image is larger and you might need NTFS partition to store the image before you can flash it to the internal hard disk. You can also try to the boot from an external USB (watch my other video), that's easier than this I reckon. Let me know how you go, cheers

This is a great video, thank you! i was wondering... when i create a package and publish it. All seems okay, but when i close out of Package Publisher and go back into the program all my packages that i created disappear. is it supposed to do that? I can still see the .cab file if i open up the directory its in. If im not able to see my previous packages i created, how would i go about getting the old one removed from the inventory. sorry if this doesnt make sense. thank you

Do you have a WSUS server? It should publish the packages to your WSUS repository. The packages should not disappeared after successfully published to the repository. Sorry I haven’t came across something like this
