I killed one of the spawns in the fight (by accident) and there was no dialogue option for astarion to ascend, besides, I did not wanted him to, because that would made him worse (spoiler, sorry)

Honestly, I feel like Drizzt might find Astarion amusing if they met after Astarion was freed from Cazador's control (though I'm sure Drizzt would still be wary of Astarion, he might find his sarcasm and zingers amusing). Though Drizzt would almost certainly try to help "Tav" and the others if he learned that they were victims of Mind Flayers, since he himself has had to tangle with Mind Flayers before. And if Drizzt met Tav _after_ they'd recruited Minsc & Jaheria, he'd probably be even _more_ willing to help out, as Drizzt _does_ know (or at least know _of_ ) Minsc, and the two actually meet face-to-face in the Neverwinter MMO (and Drizzt even expresses his surprise that Minsc hadn't died of old age yet, which is when he's informed of how Minsc had been petrified and only recently been cured of that petrification).

I like to think he and Brynn, the custom origin character I romanced him with are off living their best life, setting off on a quest to find a way for him to walk in the sun again, but also, because of how much travelling their search has involved, they also do adventuring hero things along the way. hope i dont get too much hate for this, Still learning the lore dnd wise and i know its completely different; but i was wondering out of curiousity. does anyone know if elven society belief in marriage (in dnd) is similiar to lord of the rings lore? In lord of the rings They mention something along the lines that elven society views marriage as a super sacred thing, only choosing one partner and then nothing after that if thier spouse passes. The elves who have gone against that and have had multiple partners let alone slept outside of marriage are frowned down upon. If its similar, it make astarion's trauma that much more tragic caz then he'd be going against his heritage beliefs yes?

I have never seen the dialogue Cazador says about being sung as a savior, OR the “how to cherish moments like this” line. I thought I’d seen every version of this scene. Just goes to show just how in depth the writing is, having lines for EVERY scenario.
