Here it is 2023 and Stefani Booroojian is still on the air. The Fulton Mall is gone and traffic is flowing again. Downtown is more dangerous than ever. The homeless are everywhere. Sidewalks are blocked by tents and shanties. Most of the stores cater to Hispanics and alot of them can't even speak English. Downtown is not coming back. It's like a 3rd world country. Without government offices being there, there would be nothing left.

Dr. Lee is an excellent surgeon. However, the aftercare and office communication from the answering service, receptionists, and surgery scheduler were the WORST I have EVER experienced in my life. I had 3 previous surgeries with Dr. Johnson at SPOC. He and his staff were impeccable!! However, after surgery with Dr. Lee, I called 18 times over 3 weeks and my daughter who is a department manager for several departments at Sutter Gould called colleague to colleague and spoke with her surgery scheduler. She emphatically apologized and reassured my daughter she would speak to Dr. Lee that day and get back to her by 5 that day and have an answer for her. SHE NEVER CALLED MY DAUGHTER BACK! I couldn’t call as I had a family emergency and was on my way to North Carolina. When I returned to California, I printed out documentation showing my 18 calls in 3 weeks, some lasting 13 minutes. I went in and demanded I speak with the office manager. Following that conversation I was told that Dr. Lee’s cell number was on one bottom of one the preop documents I had been given. I text Dr. Lee and informed her of everything. She waited over 24 hours to respond to me. I will NEVER recommend SPOC to anyone and every opportunity I have to warn potential patients, I will! I was also given the number to HR from one of the physical therapists that told me to call because it was not the first time she had heard this story!! I have since had my other shoulder repaired by a Sutter Gould orthopedic surgeon. Their care is impeccable, compassionate and beyond amazing. It was so worth the couple hour drive to receive true patient center care. BE WARNED.

Downtown Fresno is completely dead and cannot be repaired, no matter how hard that they say it is going to be.... News flash, they said the samw thing about the Fulton Mall way, way back in the 1950s.... Now, it is a road.... Do not believe the hype... Anyway.... I should make a KZbin channel called Fresno Is Dead where I show you how dead Fresno was, is, and going to be evermoreso in the future.... I would get thousands of KZbin views out of it.... Plus, the homeless population has overtaken Downtown Fresno.... Some of them ended up on and around Shields and Cedar....

We used to go to Newberry's Cafe. I loved finishing my meal at the counter and going downstairs to the toy section!

Probably the biggest hitch in the Fulton Mall plan was that other malls/ mall like areas would be built. But I doubt most people saw that coming really. Both Fashion Fair and Manchester Center were still dirt lots and orchards in the 60's.

I am in the Fresno area. So much has certainly changed since this time. Hotel Fresno is well being remodeled now. I have been many times to downtown Fresno. Many services remain in the downtown area of Fresno. It's great to see the beauty of Fresno. It's about to be 150 years of Fresno being founded. My interest is a two-story house in Fresno, something I hope to achieve soon.

Mayor Dan Whitehurst, the youngest mayor in Fresno's history...elected at 28 years old back in 1977. He was in the last year and a half of his term when this was produced. He ran again in 2000, but lost to "Bubba", actor Alan Autry.

This is crazy...seeing the ACTUAL Ted C. Wills, who the rec center on San Pablo is named after, the stereotypes of 'scary' downtown (which just meant too Black and Brown for folks rapidly moving north even then) that led to the decay of the Fulton Mall (which I never got to see in its heyday as my family moved down to Fresno from the Bay Area in 1985), and the freeway system, which didn't fully get completed until the early 2000s!?!? Remember when 41 used to end on Bullard Avenue!? Remember when the area that is now Riverpark was basically just dust? That's what I remember in the mid to late 80's before the money started pouring in to North Fresno. This is a reminder that none of that was a coincidence.
