This is really cool. I work for Los Angeles County but I never had the privilege to meet Mario. Did most of my time at 3’s and now I’m at 110’s in Marina Del Rey. I’m in my last year and my wife and I are really considering one of your builds so we can explore the good old US of A. Ps: Derek Alkonis was my captain when I was at 3’s. Great man

Johnny, how tall is the MB sprinter AWD low roof with the pop top and how tall is the Ford transit AWD medium roof with a pop top? I know a lot has to do with tires, lifts etc but I live in a condo building that has a ceiling height of 98". Are there options for me? Respectfully, Jerry

Great video Jonny everything needed to get outdoors has been designed into a Field Van. Having the track system for the seats makes the space very flexible.

what about the power system??? are you able to push solar to the main battery? how is pulling off the main battery? can you run cabin AC straight from the vehicle? how much battery does that drain?

Great questions! We installed a completely separate battery system for the rear van accessories including the refrigerator, fans, lights, etc. Our solar does not push to the main vehicle battery nor do we pull off of the main battery for anything other than the vehicle operation. Cabin A/C can be run but I do not know the draw...will have to do some more research and testing on that.

Conceptually, I think electric vans are the future. I just wonder if there has to be some way to recharge it when in the wilderness. Even if you had 500 miles range that problem would still be there I think.

I applied and interviewed at one of these companies and they told me "you're much more qualified than most anybody we've had in a while wed love to have you" then offered me the same as the grocery store down the street(literally exactly the same). My salary would've been about 1/15th what they were selling their rigs for

Travato/ Pro master- Best selling class B RV in north America. Purchased mine in 2017 for $78,000. Living in it full-time ever since. I replace the battery myself and have had a few oil changes…. and a set of new tires(including an actual spare, Extra rim with tire)…. That’s it for maintenance cost. The exterior of the van, paint is protected by some kind of Boeing aircraft product. $1000 for six year guarantee. It still looks brand-new. Wider wheel width and lower center of gravity is why I chose pro master. With my understanding of physics this makes the most sense when it comes to handling. 59k floor plan…. The only all weather floor plan in existence??? A second entry point that can be isolated from the main cabin with shower pan, dedicated fan and dedicated heat. .
