That is why Vin Scully said when someone hits a fly ball to the outfield you just watch the outfielder not that ball. I assumed most people do this intuitively.

Aaron Boone doesn’t make these decisions, look I can’t stand Boone but he is paid to do what the front office wants him to do. It’s the analytics department that is making these decisions the downfall of the Yankees has been the analytics there is a time to use analytics but to use it for everything in the organization is asinine! Aaron Judge can’t even take a dump unless it’s scheduled and authorized by the analytics department!

Fans in general can be crazy. I think Yankees and Red Sox fans are just too insane. I guarantee you will not see the same fan behavior at a Pirates, Dbacks, Astros, Reds, Braves, etc. game. Same goes for a vast majority of teams regardless of the sport
