I love listening to DM but I can’t say I agree with his thoughts on Israel! The attacks on the 7th were despicable and unforgivable, but the loss of civilian life and the terrible suffering of the Palestinians since is also unforgivable. There will obviously be a lot of disagreement in this forum but in my opinion the security lapse in allowing the attack to take place is highly suspicious. The BBC published an article about how the IDF observers on the front line were sending warnings up the chain of command that something big was going to happen for weeks. This was ignored and indeed the observers were one of the first people to be murdered in the attack. The attack gave Netanyahu and his warmongers the ideal excuse to invade Gaza. He has mentioned in public comments before that “a new Pearl Harbour” was needed (in a different context but I won’t go into that) and indeed October 7th has fit the bill brilliantly.
