I’m generally happy with finish it left on the panels, but I’m still dealing with the blasting media falling out of all the crevices every time I flip it over. I would not use the same company to blast more parts. The guy that did it did not seem too competent and it took longer than it should have IMO. The media was not flowing quickly enough and he even admitted at the end that he was “conserving media” on purpose because he didn’t bring enough with him. At $300/hour I was a little more than perturbed about it. But I learned from it and moved on haha. 🤣

A lot of metal warping going on. Should’ve dipped it bro

Each process has its own pros and cons. Being a “wet” blast with water, keeps heat down and drastically reduces any chance of panel warping. I chose this process because it worked best for my own needs, one of those was they came to my driveway, which is a big plus to me.

Haven't had either one yet. Hoping to get both before winter though. 👍

Nice setup! Did you have the heads milled? If so, how much taken off? Or what chamber size did you end up with?
@Bowtie_Garage6 жыл бұрын
The heads on that setup were only milled about .015". Compression was around 11.7 or so with the Wiseco pistons.

Nice, I'll be installing a stock bottom end LS7 in my F body soon, plan to run same head and cam setup, so looking for optimal compression ratio for that cam... Did you ever have this setup on the dyno or run at the track? I saw your track video with 130mph trap, was that the best it did?
@Bowtie_Garage6 жыл бұрын
@@topgunmotorsports Yeah, it made 537rwhp on a Mustang Dyno. I only had that setup at the track one time. 130 was the best trap, 10.63 was my best ET that day. New setup is a solid roller cam w a Holley Hiram, 12.8 compression etc. I go by LS7_Prodigy on Instagram if you're on there.

Nice car man! i too have a 2000 z28 & i purchased an ls7 west coast heads going to be installing it in the next week any surprises or tips i should be aware of?
@Bowtie_Garage9 жыл бұрын
+jeffmcclure32 Thanks man. It's getting a few upgrades to the topend this winter. Hopefully it should be trapping a good bit faster next year. It's been 10.63@129 on full drag slicks on that same night as this run was made. Email me and I can go over some of the finicky issues with the LS7 swap. [email protected]
