Insurance used to be that thing that one did just because your Visa application needed you to have one. Gone are those days! I have personally seen a lot of my friends shopping around in the market to get the most comprehensive cover - spending almost the as much time as they do when booking their flight ticket. 2) Insurance can play a huge role in reducing stress from the travel experience. Numerous pain points to be alleviated - Missed your flight? Lost your bag? Flight cancelled? Flight disrupted ? AirBnb host cancelled on you at the last minute? Hotel not up to your expected standards? 3) Katya touched upon something that will be a huge success factor - removing friction from claims! A world where claims are automated and the travelers just get reimbursed even before they finish their trip? Well sign me up for that!!! Thank you for sharing your insights Daniela and Katya!

You can’t manage different airlines at once. Just different flight but from the same airline. If you want to have another flight you need to log out again and sign in with the airlines id

I chose the correct dates for our flights, and their booking engine decided to book flights that were completely different from the flights I put in the cart. This was on non refundable tickets. Alternative Airlines has responded to the other review, and has denied any responsibility for their buggy coding in their booking engine. They referred me to the travel insurance that I purchased. Turns out, apparently the travel insurance provider is Alternative Airlines, and they will not pay out due to the fact that the incorrect dated were booked by their buggy system. DO NOT USE ALTERNATIVE AIRLINES for travel booking. We have recieved a partial travel credit from American Airlines, due only to the fact that we are AAadvantage members, and The representative worked very hard to get the credit for us. That credit, however does not come near to the total amount we were charged by Alternative Airlines. Which was over $100 higher than it would have been had we booked directly just for the tickets, and there were other fees that added to the total cost. The only reason we used this company was so we could pay over time with Afterpay, and I will be Contacting Afterpay to report the horrible customer experience with Alternative Airlines. We now have to pay twice for our flights.
