This is so much fun, the food behind the animals really lends it a little extra something xD the entire piece really came out great. Where does the creative inspiration come from, if you don't mind me asking? :) I have a hard time getting myself into the crafting mindset even though there are so many things I'd like to create

I had picked up some stencils that ended up being a bit smaller than I had thought they would be. Turned out they were small enough to fit four of them on this sized canvas. I will also bounce ideas off my husband to get his take on stuff. We'll end up going back and forth for a bit till something sticks. The pig with bacon behind him amused me, we went back and forth about the corn, I think he came up with the steaks behind the cow, and I would have gone drumsticks behind the chicken but wasn't sure I could pull that off.

Thank you. I got my tools, mat, some sheets of craft felt, and a bag of mixed colors of roving to start out from Amazon. A lot of craft stores are also starting to carry some of those things as well. I use acrylic yarn for the most part though due to my budget. I can get more colors of yarn in larger amounts to stretch my budget. If you go with yarn you'll need to get a pet grooming brush. It's called a sticker brush or a brush to get the undercoat off of a dog. The teeth are usually metal and bent at a slight angle. There should be a video on the Nisey Needle Felts playlist here on the channel for how I prep the yarn to use it for needle felting. Hope you love it as much as I do, good luck and have fun!

I Love this so much! Sped up is a lot of fun, it really gives one a sense of how everything comes together. Your colour combinations in this are gorgeous…my favorite is the tree in the foreground…on the right. It has so much depth with the variations in green tones that you used…and the negative space which brings in dimension that eludes a lot of artists. Negative space is so effective in composition as well as in detail. You do this beautifully. You really effectively created depth within the terrain leading to the stream and with some more 3D shading on the waterfall to emphasize the vertical drop, it will really bring it all together. 😃 Catching up on videos…I’m behind. LOL..So much fun to watch this and see how your style progresses. 🤗

Thank you. This was the "speed felt" of the previous needle felt a long we did following the Joy of Painting tutorial for season 3 Ep.3. It took me a bit of time to get this one edited down since I got busy with the Christmas crafts/gift making season. @@NiseyBGN 😀 I’ll be looking forward to seeing how it comes out! …So far…I really love love the tone and hue of the blue…and the way in which you have worked the trees with such a painterly quality by more lightly felting ‘painting’ them…they convey shadowy and atmospheric! It’s a nice juxtaposition to have your heavily felted areas with more lightly impressionistic parts. The trees are a great example of how well this works!

PS…to map out, you could print a black and white photocopy in the size that you would like your image. Then take a piece of carbon paper, and trace the printed image with the carbon paper onto your paper or felt…etc..It’s very helpful to get the general lines of the image with the correct perspective.
@NiseyBGN
@NiseyBGN 2 жыл бұрын
@@Harlow... Yeah, I've done that before with some of my painting projects, especially with stuff I've not drawn or painted before or to help me pull things from multiple references to merge them into one image. My brain likes to do things backwards at times so that can be helpful. I think I know what I was doing wrong with it now.
@Harlow...
@Harlow... 2 жыл бұрын
I attended a watercolor workshop, and we did the tracing with carbon paper to kickstart. The instructor provided the photocopy and carbon paper, then we traced onto the paper. It was great because rather than spend so much time drawing it out, we could concentrate on the watercolor…which we did in monotone…using black. It was liberating diving straight into the focus, rather than getting the lines right in the drawing…the perspective. What reminded me of this so much was that our drawing was a cabin in the snowy woods…LOL. 🤗

Hey Nisey! I finally caught a part of your video sometime ago where you showed the finished gingerbread house scape! It is So adorable!!! You really did a beautiful job and knowing how much time and effort you put into it…I just wanted to applaud you for how it came out, and I’m loving watching your ornament making videos. The Dino is a lot of fun and I actually like all of the combinations of roving that you’re using..
