If you tip Sheetrock up like that to get a grip you’ll likely break off corners. Try the Troll with wheels for sheet goods and no above the shoulder grip.
@essentialhandyman2 күн бұрын
I don't mind a little rolling of the corners, as the boards will be taped and jointed anyway, which will cover those inperfections.

My Jenn-air works the for the first part but once I turn off the stove, it started clicking again. I couldn’t clean it because there’s no way to shut off my stove, the switch that you have is no where in sight 😫
@essentialhandyman2 күн бұрын
I think you may be in the states, is that right? I've heard you don't have switched sockets out there, so localised isolation would be a problem. If you have a main fuse board, you could turn off the cooker from the main switch, double checking it's safe of course, and do the cleaning with the cooker isolated from the mains. Would that work for you?

Update? Still working?

Yup. Still working although one comment I do have is that if you wind the handle too hard, it does make the drill and therefore the drill bit deflect a little bit.

The Spirits of Salts affiliate link shows a slightly different product to the one you used in the video. The reviews on it say it's watered down / or a knockoff so im hesitant to get it. Have you tried using the one you have linked?
@essentialhandyman20 күн бұрын
Hi Jaylink. The one in the video isn't available on Amazon anymore, so I chose one that seemed appropriate with some good reviews but no, I've not used that one. However, afteer your comment, I did a check of the products online and found the product I usually use, (it wasn't available on Amazon when I did my video) which works really well. All of them are watered down as 100% hydrochloric acid would most likely be too strong and damage stuff.

Just out of interest, on disability toilets there is a radar key and then a second lock for when the council close access to the disabled toilet. What key would open the second lock on that door please?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by a second lock. Feel free to post me a photo of it on one of my gsceposy posts.
@danieladams298620 күн бұрын
Hi, I'm registered disabled, so when I in town in the evening, after a certain time disabled toilets are locked, and a radar key won't open them on its own. I'm fairly sure it's a ERA 3 Lever key for a mortice lock.

How you doing Ian? I did something similar on a felt roof on the side of my house. That was probably 3 years ago. I repeated the process about a year after the first coat and it's been fine since. Well worth the temporary repair if you can get a few extra years out of it. I used Bitumen emulsion from Wickes. Can't remember the brand though.
@essentialhandymanАй бұрын
Hi Phil. Long time no speak. Hope you're doing well mate. Like you, I'm gonna put some more on the roof, to double down on the coverage. I was waiting for better weather, so I could do all the joints. I guess with 70 - 80 degrees all this week, I should be cracking on with it ASAP. Before the rain comes back. As you say, it should be good for a few more years. Cheers mate,.

What are the use of the fire brigade keys please?? Would would you access with them
@essentialhandymanАй бұрын
Hi Stuart. FB keys were bought in (in the UK) to standardise access to places that the fire brigade were likely to need to get into. I suspect to stop them using their big, four foot long, axe shaped keys 😏 to get into locked cupboards. They're traditionally Chubb type locks on cupboards housing equipment such as electrical swiitchgear, water stop cocks, lift motor rooms etc. They also do FB padlocks, which may be used for similar situations but also access to things like roofs, plant rooms etc. You can buy a full set of FB keys online for less than a tenner. Although nowadays, quite a few places have moved over to something called Gerda keys. They're way more expensive, with keys costing between £30 and £250 each.
