I got a 2012 TSX 6MT hoping to bring it up to 300 whp on low-ish boost. sucks the aftermarket is not the best for the k24z3, but Ill probably follow the previous vid you did on how to go about turbocharging it

Hey man. Just subscribed because you are I think the only guy that has posted in-depth videos on boosting a 2nd gen tsx. I bought my 2010 tsx last winter and my brother and I plan to boost it this winter. We are shooting for 400 whp but I'm detuning it to 330-350 for reliability. Thanks for posting your build. I'll be referencing your videos as I build mine.
@boostaddiction-py8mhАй бұрын
Mine is not my daily driver but it’s reliable I use it regularly and I probably put 10,000km on this summer . But if you are planning on daily driving it maybe 350-375 8-10 psi would be good

Also I did have to swap in a new clutch master and slave but it was probably the slave cylinder that was old . And I have had to adjust the clutch a few times as I’m sure the aftermarket slave is not up to the challenge . But on the large scale the slave cylinder is super easy to change

Wouldnt of thought it would be any different

I’m pretty sure that tensioner cover is the same as the other k series engines as the chain tensioner is interchangeable . When I exported that option eBay had a pile of them cheap

If you port match the intake manifold to the z3 head you will gain some good midrange power. I have a uk spec ctr rsp im on my tsx wagon. For as fat as it is it gets up and goes. Those skunk 2 cams should get you even more power with that combo. Im in the middle of my turbo build as well. Keep at it 👍

@@boostaddiction-py8mh what would be the difference between manual and auto? And what would be the difference between a k24z3 to the rest of it apart of get a custom turbo manifold?
@boostaddiction-py8mh6 ай бұрын
great questions , manual and auto is just referring to the gear box or transmission . The k24z3and k24z7 share same internals slightly different block and transmission cases.they used these engines in this tsx and the 9th gen civic si . the main down fall to it is the R40 head with its single port exhaust instead of the 4 individual exhaust ports . It does offer some advantages for running boost though as it will have better boost response because the exhaust gas is mush hotter and more expanded when it enters the turbo. the there just is not alot of guys boosting these cars so alot has to be fabricated .
@automattic42026 ай бұрын
I have a 08 accord same k24z3 and I can also say these motors dont have barely any aftermarket suppprt they were almost like the oddball of the k motors…I’ve seen more supercharged k24z3’s then I have turbo lol
