I would beware before buying one of these.. I Purchased a White Duck Regatta 16 for 950$ in 2022 I used it once that year and once in 2024. Never used it with a stove because I didn't buy one until this year, bought a stove earlier this year to do some winter camping and When I pitched my tent for the 3 total time the other day I have MANY MANY HOLES in the canvas. Keep in mine I haven't used a stove so these are not burns, I have kept everything in the provided canvas bags inside my garage, not only are there MULTIPLE holes in this tent but it is supposed to be Mildew Resistant and I noticed that there are several spots of discoloration on it as well. Where these holes are it appears that the canvas has started to rot or break down in these spots, like it is getting thinner. It was so bad I had to cancel my trip that day. I have messaged White Duck about the LIFETIME WARRANTY but they have never even responded to my email. I purchased the White duck because of all the research I did before buying and they were supposed to be the best. For something that is supposed to be waterproof, mildew resistant, and some of the thickest canvas available it sure didn't last long. I spent 950$ to camp twice with it. Now it is basically ruined. As far as their customer service, so far it is non existent because I haven't even got a reply form them. I will be putting a video of it up on my channel as soon as I get the time to do it. I took my vacation days to go winter camping and wasn't able to so now I am back busy working. BUYER BEWARE
@jacksoutdoorlife17 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I have not had any problems with mine except that the stove jack is not waterproof. If this tent is packed up while still damp or wet it will mildew.
@TheNEWReel16 күн бұрын
@jacksoutdoorlife yeah i bought one of those rubber things that goes over the stove jack to make a seal on the stove pipe. Seems like that is the way to go as far as keeping water and what not out of the stove jack area, wish I would have got the chance to use it. If anything was Damp it would have bee the floor from where it was pitched or possible dew from the night but it never rained on the tent so IDK seems like a tent should be able to be packed up after a night of camping with no rain and not mildew if it is indeed mildew resistant as they claim. I cant even begin to act like I know why the material has degraded like it has and the holes just blow my mind idk. kinda stinks cus otherwise I loved the tent, bought it because I though it could be an investment I could build on and make a great setup eventually... I dont even think I will be able to patch it all, its pretty bad
@TheNEWReel5 күн бұрын
UPDATE - After several emails, White Duck is taking care of my issue and replacing the Tent! They cited their absence of proper guidance after advertising mildew resistance, in other words they offer a "Mildew Resistant" material but obviously their cant be any dew or condensation on the tent when packing it up and storing. I assumed since it was not rained on that it would be fine. They didn't have to fix my problem, their warranty doesn't cover this issue, and I was advocating for a patch kit or some replacement canvas so I could try to patch it myself and they offered a replacement tent instead. With that being said I felt it was only right for me to update this comment and let everyone know that though the tent is far from mildew resistant, their customer service came through in the end. Now that I am not out 1000$ and I know how to properly take care of what I bought I really do feel like this tent can be the investment I thought it would be and use it for years to come.

@@TheNEWReel Good for you. Even if it doesnt rain the bottom of the floor that contacts the ground can sweat. When I pack up my tent I have a couple of towels ready to dry off the bottom as I roll it up. I hope you enjoy your new tent! I have one of the rubber flanges also for my stove jack but beware that the material that the stovejack is made of will leak in a rainstorm. Also if you dont have a fire going in the stove rain can and will get inside the spark arrestor on top of the exhaust pipe and run down into your stove and out onto the floor.
@jacksoutdoorlife5 күн бұрын
If you will go back and watch my video- Storm Wrecked My Deer Camp- you can see how the stove jack patch leaks in the rain. The actual tent has never leaked

Hey man are you still using the lone wolf climber if so what’s your thoughts on it
@jacksoutdoorlife24 күн бұрын
It is very light and easy to carry, the most important thing is to pick the right size tree which is 12-14 inches
@bluegrassdroneguy349529 күн бұрын
Stick your boots out to sides like with the older lone wolf and tilt the platform up more while ascending and the belt won’t be clinging on to the tree so much, l see so many people trying to drag the stand up the tree, I learned how to maneuver my homemade climbing stand o made 50 yrs ago and had my boots underneath the braces on the sides of the stand
@jacksoutdoorlife24 күн бұрын
Thanks I have much more experience with the stand now
@bluegrassdroneguy349523 күн бұрын
@ if they had made the platform at least 27” deep it would be much more user friendly

At $1000.00. Ridiculous.....light weight, if other stands are too heavy to carry, how are you going to get the deer out?

Very nice. I bought one of these on 2 NOV 2024. Can't wait to get it. I've got an Ole-Man that's right at 30lbs. It's very comfortable but not optimal for bow hunting and long walks. Also, my shoulders and knees are getting bad. I've got some hang on stands from the old lone wolf and some from Novix, but the amount of work it takes to put these up, in Arkansas, leaves me dripping in sweat. I'm glad that an older gentleman did this video, as it ensures me that this purchase was well worth the money. Also, you should probably just hunt your back yard. That buck was nice!
@jacksoutdoorlife2 ай бұрын
The most important thing to learn is the size tree to climb. This stand will definately not climb a bigger tree like that ole man. That buck is much better this year!

Can you flip the backpack straps and carry the stand with the spikes down? Those spikes are super sharp, a slip and fall could result in a spiked noggin

Thanks for watching and subscribing. Once after dark I was headed to the truck and suddenly about 40-50 yards ahead of me a racoon started screaming and some creature was going whoop whoop, whoop whoop. Could have been an owl but I have never heard one make that sound. Don't really know what it was. another time I was camped and had just gone to bed when a strange noise happened pretty close to me. It lasted about 4-5 seconds and was loud. About fifteen seconds later it happened again and then that was it. Never heard that sound before or since. I have no idea what that was.
