I purchased an S3 in 2019 and rode it in the summer of 2020. However in the spring of 2021 it had a battery failure. I had to wait for a shipping container and basically lost the riding season of 2022. It was fine in 2023 but when I started riding it this year, it started shutting down when I stopped. Quite disappointed with the quality and have a perfect condition S3 that I cannot sell in Utah because it shuts down whenever I stop. I would say, do not buy one unless you live by a service center.

Just spent a week in Haarlem. Used it for a base to explore other areas. But spent a lot of time just knocking about the city. One stop that's worth while is a visit to "Adrian" the windmill. Seems everything in town is an 8 to 10 minute walk from the " Grote Markt".

As a kid I used to swim in that lake in the dunes. Often I would get a rash, red bumps so there's unfortunately something in the water. Lots of algea for sure which could be the cullprit. Haarlem is like a smaller version of Amsterdam, not so busy and more cozy.

I purchased an 09’ V70 3.2l for $7,900 US. It had 79,000 miles on it. All of its annual service done were at the Volvo Dealership. Apparently only 4,500 V70’s came to the US in 2009, the XC70 was more popular here. Luckily wagons “estate cars” are unpopular here in the states so finding them at low prices, low miles is fairly easy. Things I’ve had issues with: Radiator Control Fan modules failed - $200 Tires were cupping slightly - replaced the rear shock absorbers, front struts and control arms - $650. Tailgate struts don’t hold up - $85 Other than those issues, the car is rock solid performs better than our Lexus

this was one of the vids that made me decide to buy an almost exactly same v70! Mine is a 2010 2.5FT, and 253000 km done. Black metallic with black interior and half skin seats, carries the Momentum executive package.. best car ive ever had to date.. The engine is a petrol/ethanol (E85) engine and that makes this car classed as a environmentally friendly car witch has its taxes severly lowered. Im very satisfied with this one.

BIKES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SUPER SIMPLE! You should be able to fix 90% of problems, anywhere, with simple tools. That's why it's such a universal DEVICE from Europe to Africa, from India to the Middle East. Tyres, seats, and brakes are super easy to fix yourself and for the gear/cassette, any shop can do it. No mystery. E-Bike could have standardisation so anyone could fix them or at least most of the shop but they want to work like Apple. Clever.

I bought my 2010 V70 R-Design for € 4500, three years ago, with 300k kilometers on it. It drove well but did do a 4 wheel brake job (calipers rusty), added new tires, and replaced the blue Volvo stickers in the middle of the steering wheel and front grille. It was also missing the cargo cover so picked up one of them new from the dealer. Only really remedial problems encountered was the tailgate latch which would stick and not latch (replaced), valve on AC compressor which delayed the AC from blowing cool immediately (replaced), ignition switch which would take three or four pushes before starting the car (replaced), and tensioner pulley on the engine accessory belt which froze up and threw the belt (replaced that and thermostat). It's been trouble free since and is my main dog hauler.

im 17 and next year I will be able to take my licens. And im thinking of buying a v70 2012. In Sweden they are about 5-7000 dollars. Is it worth it for me? I will be able to work up the money or is the car done for. The miles on the cars im looking at is about 25-30k miles. So what yall think?

Have a V70 2001, old Betty as I call it. Simple maintenance and refill the oil slightly every few months as it consumes a bit. It starts, idles and drives very well. It’s on 356k-ish km and hope to keep it longer. Some clearcoat flaking off, valve tick and clutch whines at bitepoint in cold weather, but that’s it. If I manage to keep it past 30 years it’ll be considered a veteran in Sweden and it’ll be taxfree (but still need to maintain upkeep and MOT).

front wheel bearings is a weak point, porly made design make them fail quite often, water and salt is the catalyst for this, making the bearing rust to under the seal and damage it, parts are not to expensive but with labour it adds up, our D2 has some engine problems not yet resolved .over all a vell made car

I'm in Boston, MA USA - and my Vanmoof Electrified S has this same issue perhaps but it does suck not being near a dealer - closest is New York City - I've had no issues since I got it but now not being able to commute in this morning - it breaks my confidence in the bike and that sucks as I've been such an evangelist of it. Hopefully the micro USB charging or a reset will work but so far no dice - nothing seems to make the bike turn on and I'm heart broken.
