I'll always prefer this version. The animation (style, not quality. It's very static), the soundtrack. It's rough, certainly. Diverging from an incomplete manga... They needed more episodes to flesh all this out. It feels like a first draught. But I was never a fan of ultimate and only kinda liked the manga.

Lol What upsets me was, it should have been Alucard to have the first bite in an "intimate" fashion Yeah, he tasted her blood and all when she was a kid, but come on... (18:11) One glaring mistake: while I'm not sure, whether Walter's thread can cut gunmetal, or not - of one thing I am sure: the pistol, that Seras held in front of her throat, would definitely not have kept the thread, which was on the back of her neck, from closing the loop... EDIT: ok, I just finished episode 12 and can now say with authority, that it woul not have worked at all, since Walter's threads DO CUT gunmetal.

Just finished watching the series for the first time. Yes, I am crying. They don't create masterpieces like this anymore. The storytelling, the references, the music... This is a rare 10/10 for me. Damn, this crimson fcker really got into my heart.
