i really hate it when the legs break ...lol.... after rewelding it back together a few times, we finally just grabbed up some 1/2-inch flat stock and reinforced the heck out of everything that even looked a little suspicious .... I won't say it is indestructible now. Still, I think the cylinders may wear out before I have any more outrigger problems ..... here is a tip ... the cylinder pivot pins need greasing every three hours ... in fact, it doesn't hurt to grease the whole thing every three hours ...... I found out the hard way that the eyes on the rams will break off if not regularly lubricated..... they get extremely hot if you don't grease them and they will weaken over time to the point that they break right off

I'm sure that thing is a beast. That's almost double the hp and electric start is sweet. When I bought this it was on sale for $2999 and there was a $500 off coupon too. They messed my order up so I got it for the $2499 and they waved the freight cost. You can upgrade the pump and motor on this one. But so far I'm happy with it's performance.

Man it looks like you are on an archealogical dig there! That stone you dug up definitely looks like it was cut/chiseled by man...it was rectangular like a big brick. Along with the big stones in the right of the screen....I wonder if someone made a retaining wall there long ago?
@potjoutdoors33683 жыл бұрын
I never even thought about that. Now you say that there was a lot of rectangular. I appreciate you noticing that. We have not used a metal detector there yet and that area definitely had civil war activity. I will look at it more detail when I go back next weekend. Thanks for that!!
@saintsfan79913 жыл бұрын
@@potjoutdoors3368 Wow, I wasn't even thinking about all of the civil war items that you might find there, especially if there were battles/camps in that area. I was thinking more like medieval times etc. I had just watched this cool video about a team excavating at the remnants of an old castle, so I guess that why I was thinking that. Check it out if you have time...it's really interesting and as the dug they realized that so many of their assumptions about the castle were wrong. The lay of the land was different back then as they discover, it's a pretty cool video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZjclK2cacqFhs0 Yep a metal detector would be interesting to bring out there for sure! Thanks for the videos with the excavator man, I really enjoy them and it's good to see what they are capable of. I have been wanting to get one but the price keeps going up and up. I am thinking about importing one directly from China. I am digging the Metallica too, it seems fitting for the work that is going on lol. Take care buddy, good luck treasure hunting! Here is another video of a rock wall that they discovered in California that stretches over 50 miles and could be 400 years old. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnemnWWil7epjbs

To save walking out you could do what I do that's have a spare set of wheels then all you need to do is swap the front stabilizers with the 2spare wheels much easier than back to front plus it's stable then to tow either with quad or tractor. But I found if towing with quad you need the extension tow hitch as the normal bit too close to the quad. Hope this is of some help.
@dalemasyk15833 жыл бұрын
OR carefully i would put bucket on back of quad n fckin drive it out but DO IT RIGHT n hold it up to the qaud n fckin tow it fck man DUHHH TAKE FOREVER WALKIN IT

@joeltemplin35703 жыл бұрын
Definitely worth the effort to get that trail to the river. To save all that maneuvering getting the backhoe back there should be a way to make a contraption to link the bucket (or?) using a ball hitch coupler to a 4 wheeler or side x side ball receiver.
@potjoutdoors33683 жыл бұрын
It does have a 2 inch tow. I was trying to get it to an easy area to hook it up, but I ended just crawling it the rest of the way because once up the hill it went pretty quick.
@joeltemplin35703 жыл бұрын
I know about the stock coupler behind the motor but mean something on the bucket end of the backhoe. A friend dumps his dirt in a small trailer he tows with a small garden tractor. When he moves his backhoe around he just curls his bucket and puts it at the front of the trailer with enough lift to get the stabilizers off the ground and pulls the backhoe around his place that way. Saves swapping the wheels around for the typical tow mode.
@potjoutdoors33683 жыл бұрын
@@joeltemplin3570 Well shit. That is genius haha. That is one reason I avoid the tow in the woods is the switching to tow mode. I really appreciate you bringing that to my attention. That is awesome. I appreciate you watching too Joel! The river really is the ultimate goal.
