Damn I think the coaches wanted to throw some punches.

Leafs were trying for a skilled high scoring team from 1998-99 to 1999-00, that’s likely why Smith fell out of favour and couldn’t play in the system. Had Smith stayed with the organization when the Leafs decided to try to build a team of tough guys and dirtbags starting in the 2000-01 season and beyond, he’d have fit like a glove. Too bad.

This is better than the entire NHL season now - including the playoffs. Hockey has been sanitized and destroyed. Just watching millionaire fuck bois play 80s euro hockey. Gutless and castrated.

The 4 core of the current Leafs should watch this then they can see how REAL MEN played the game.

Barnaby, Shack, Domi, maybe even Hextall. They did entertain the crowd for sure. Difference was they seemed to have a good sense of warped humor, poking away at other players

He sold more tickets than Bettman ever will. NHL hockey is the only team sport to actually decline as the rest advance. I'd rather watch the AHL.

Heartbroken to see the news here about Sergei. Rest In Peace and like too many other greats gone way too soon. I'm shattered nothing more to say. I also like The Flyers a lot and a few of my favorites from back then are gone too. This game can get really sad. Why do we lose so many guys?
