I’m trying to do this on my gp1300r. I can’t figure out which hose to splice? I have a red smooth pvc hose and then i have that black checkered hose which is larger. Not sure which the tow valve is supposed to tap into since they’re different sizes.

Great video. What I would do is put a small level on the HO cover to determine the tilt of the engine itself. Thanks for sharing.

how do you remove that seat brakes to get all that extra space and be able to change the spark plugs??
@kylesummers4769

Not sure what you mean by seat brakes. The engine cover is held on by two flat head screws. The spark plugs are under there.

@@kylesummers4769 yeah I get that, what I’m saying on my vx cruiser there is a bar that goes over the 2 middle spark plugs making it impossible to get underneath. Similar to how the back seat connects to the jetski there is one for the main seat that you must remove to get space in the engine area. Hopefully U know what I mean

Why change the spark plugs? It's still brand new...
@kylesummers4769
@kylesummers4769 3 жыл бұрын
Yamaha recommends inspecting the spark plugs. However, being a mechanic it’s just easier and safer to change them since you already have them out. Keeps the motor fresh as well.

Sounds simple enough but Rather than the annoying music - maybe try explaining what you are doing along the way. Not everyone may understand what you are doing and why. You started with the Oil change then went to Spark plugs then back to the Oil.

Great video brother. One piece of advice I was told and always follow is that the fogging oil or any oil sprayed into where the plugs comes out from can foul out plugs when I winterize i leave the old plugs in there and put the new fresh ones in after un winterizing it the following spring.

You started your video good but you lacked explanation on the critical parts of the oil change being that your video was mostly accelerated. I had to pause your video frame-by-frame to see what aerosols and anti-seize you were applying to your engine and spark plugs. I have a 2019 FX Cruiser HO with this same engine. Enjoy your ski!!

Javier, sorry to hear about your difficulties with the video. I am still in the beginning stages of making videos and editing the video. Please if you have any questions feel free to message me. I would love to be any help. (Marine Grade Corrosion X for all over the engine compartment, LP2 lubricate for inside the cylinders and Copper anti-seize for the thread of the spark plugs) I do most of my supply purchases from amazon. I am an A&P in the aviation world and just using my mechanical skills to spill over into the watercraft world. Hope you enjoy your FX. They are a beast!
