I haven't raced there but just an observation, you should practice going much deeper in corners before letting off the gas and braking. You'd be killing it if you got better at that. Nice ride though!

Hey LP, I’m on JB’s team and I’ve been going through the same thing. Fading when others just keep going. It turned out I was iron deficient and it’s gotten better but sometimes I still fade. I was sucking wind on the second lap but I still caught ya. :). Did JB talk to you about the carnivore diet? Has really helped in so many ways.
@lp4619Ай бұрын
Hey Howie, I did talk with JB just before the start of that race. He talked to me about getting a few other things checked out, which I am doing now, but did not mention the carnivore diet. Interestingly, my 25 year old daughter is following that diet now and says she has never felt better. I will check it out, thanks!

Appreciate the shout outs, we’re all in this together bro. You’re looking much better. Still need you to go deep with cardiologist (heart cath). And then I want you to beat Pierpont.
@lp4619Ай бұрын
I am following your advice. Met with the cardiologist last Tuesday and have an echocardiogram and heart calcium scan set for next week. They also have me set to wear an event monitor. I will keep you posted and will hopefully see you at the Richloam Enduro, unfortunately I can’t make the last HS. And…I’m going to do my best to beat Pierpont again soon…lol!
@TeamTheYoungandTheRestofUsАй бұрын
Great! My heart calcium score was over 500, should be closer to zero. Cheap test that can really give good indication of artery health. Good news is you can reverse the calcium build up with proper diet (vit K2). Echocardiogram is the most definitive. Can’t wait to hear results, see you at richloam.

Just constructive criticism. Either put the chest strap higher or use a helmet mount. Camera is way too close to the handlebars and low too. Can barely see the trail ahead it’s distracting and takes too much space on the screen
@lp4619Ай бұрын
Would love to do a helmet mount but the AMA will not allow it, and therefore FTR won’t either. They banned helmet mounts a few years back. Unfortunately. The other alternative is to mount the camera to the bike, but I’ve had a lot of issues with it mounted that way and it’s susceptible to getting knocked off and lost. I actually have some of my older videos with it mounted that way but also had it fall or get knocked off and damaged. However, I agree, the chest mount is not the best angle. Thanks for the feedback, and I’ll work on some alternatives.

Ouch!! If you watch your video about a minute before, there is a big ditch right through two big pines you almost went down. Yeah, I lost it there on my second lap and I hit the big tree on the right. I laid in the ditch off to the right gasping for air for maybe four or five minutes. People can buy and said they will call for help. I was so mad at myself that somehow I caught my breath, climbed up the hill and picked up my bike and limped in. My right forearm has a knot on it, my nose was bleeding and cut, ribs are cracked and my hip is so swollen I can barely walk but I don’t think anything is broken. I armor up well. Lol. Hope you are ok and you were running up front. Sorry man!

That was a tough one for sure, 12 mile laps, hot, ditches, palmettos for miles...you got me in the beginning and then somehow let me creep back in front? You are doing the same thing I do when I'm tired, which is catch up to someone then just follow them. You have to tell yourself that you caught them which means you are faster and need to pass them. Easier said than done, I know. See you next year!
@susanmitchell85022 жыл бұрын
That looks like some of my old 8mm films. I don't think the drop was your fault when you come around a corner and someone is blocking the trail. The palmetto roots were bad. It made my back hurt just watching.

@TeamTheYoungandTheRestofUs2 жыл бұрын
Bro, great editing and song choice! That track was pretty chopped up and the roots...I have bad dreams over those roots. I dumped it about four times on the roots. I tried to get away with wearing my camera on my helmet but an official made me take it off last minute and I didn't get any video. The chest mount just doesn't do the race any justice. See you at Punta Gorda!

Good ride. The trees are a little to close for comfort. I watched a video of a race at the Ormond Beach track and it was really a mud bath, but don't know what the weather might have been. A life jacket may have been a good idea for that one. I forgot to ask you what size is your bike?
