Wow, beautiful, exquisite, thank you so much can you share the primary trails that brought you out to those points, amazing. The exposed single track in that environment and weather was breathtaking, delicious to the dirt minded, my orange 500 would love that, like a caged dog being released into the wild, sniffing here and there and ambling about without care ; ). I appreciate your candor in putting forward your disinterest in likes, awesome and a salve to attention grubbing youtube culture. FYI, I thought I was the only dirt guy ghetto enough to strap a jerry jug to the back of my KTM, hahaha.

@@zordflea same for me. I think instead of going for a ride, one day we need to do some sessions where we drill stuff like pivot turn and jumping logs. Somewhere safe and near civilisation. I was getting tired because I dont have use the right technique. I don’t pop the front wheel correctly, mostly because I’m not confident and get overwhelm by the size of the log. Just had a similar experience on my Ultra 2 days ago. Dropped into a hard enduro trail close to sundown for the first time, and ended up down in a boudler filled ravine in the mud as it got dark. Trying to manage my energy and keep moving - and not panic! The question is always: can I come back up this hill if I go down and I have to turn around? The great thing about the weight of the UB is that I have pushed/walked it up some INSANE hills that I could never have gotten up with my gas bike.

I just upgraded to a better and more powerful gas bike and my hill climbing world just exploded, easily getting up stuff I used to not even look at on my other gas bike. Unless its the Stark or perhaps the Arctic, I'm not convinced yet that a Surron could out perform an average gas dirtbike. Although that light weight and low seat def offers an advantage in some cases

Interesting expert section.. were there any official "expert" organized rides that included a bit of good singletrack at TT? I'm still watching some of the vids you've been posting. I remember in 2016 when I was there, I joined on a advanced ride and it had some good nasty loose sections of 2 track with a littttttle bit of single. 1200gs guy + 990 guys in my group were ripping em and making it look easy although it was still quite the challenge.

That traction control demo was amazing! Looks like the perfect kind of bike for poking around, don't have to start the engine all the time. A local dealer here in Ontario has a few Ultra's on clearance for $5999, demo for $4999 CDN. Wish they would have imported the street legal version to Canada, I'd have one already. Otherwise, have too many toys in the garage already, but the brain won't stop...

Having owned both I would say a trials bike and UB are two of the best 'play bikes' you can own--especially for hard terrain. Makes things so much easier. The lack of clutch can be annoying but I would say the UB takes the cake over all for the silence and b/c its more well rounded for faster riding too.
