Started on lionna server in 2003 the game was amazing played almost 15 years but when it began to become play to win I was done. It was tough to move on considering all the friends I made playing. We really tried our best moving to the new servers when they opened but it became a never ending cycle if you didn’t invest real money you were never gonna be on top.

Very well described the problem with this game. and the same sh*t goes on private servers. I stop play L2 in interlude :) was awesome and yea most of the time grinding crafting ! But i loved the Interlude ! Buy sell stuff 24/7 and rear to make pvp bcs x 1 all day you up from 77 30% to 77 33% and some one kill you or mob kill you its .... waiting some one with bless ress ! :) Game was amazing and now i saw that its star wars .... nothing from original idea !!! some Game of throne world i know what its your feeling !!!! some time i join some pvp server max to High Five just to try feel the same way like bfr but let be honest ! go play 1 2 h call of duty in team and you will fell better about payment in l2 .... at least you play offi ! i saw ppl spending alllloooot in privet server just to be top of the top and when ppl get items and he get killed he leave ! may be some people want to go out from the real life and be top of the top i know you feel bored but hey try to enchant your gear :))) if you fail like me :)) Sword of miracle +15 to +16 max in x1 server interlude in center in aden was amazing :)))) i get allot S crystals :)) and i left wish you good luck

A bit late here but I'm glad that I quit back in 2009 :D. Started playing with C1 and up to Interlude it was ok, Kamael was meh but then I felt kinda of disturbed with Garcias and left. To me C1 to C5 were good, and then it started going downhill after Interlude.

That's why for my nostalgic times.....i play on my own server ^^

I'm watching this video almost a year after it came out, but it's still true. I played for nostalgia, and I played like an addict, I spent like 10~20% of my salary, and the items I bought didn't even make much of a difference to my character. It's very sad to play Lineage 2.

Dude coming to the realization that F2P games with an MTX-like business model doesn't have an end game. No crap dude. How else do you think these companies "stay up and running"? I'm not defending this game or its publisher. I'm just saying most games are like this nowdays. The Lineage 2 you could play back in the day is not the same Lineage 2 you can play today. The same goes probably for most game if not gaming in general. This has been going on for a while now and it amazes me some people still don't understand this by now.

10 year ago , im 5 years titan hero in vietnammesse sever high five version , and i think lineage h5 is the best version .. and i Quit game in 3 month play GOD official servers , we all love l2 but in memory is low version , and all new version i got feelling it''s not lineage2 i dont play l2 anymore , i just stop as h5 version for keep good memory inside me

I totally agree. Music is good. Game is crap. It could have been a lot better... bad design overall.

L2 Elite private server interlude and i experience an awfull service from the whole community of gms and also discord server... and when i told them they are irensobimble and not profesionals and touced some nervers they baned me lol. When they have to do their work for you they ghosting you but when you tell them the truth then u got their attention instead apologize they ban you.

Official; Classic servers are worse because you need a clan for sure. and your life has to revolve around L2 to even do basic things because soloing is impossible after certain level. I saw items for few billion Adena for sale. which I guarantee is impossible to earn in your lifetime by yourself soloing.

How many of you played on L2Extreme server, one that got shot down by fbi. I was a clan leader in one of the underdog alliances. We had largest most epic castle sieges on entire server. Gamepley was entirely social. It was Pking , and revenge killings and real in-game beef with others. The game dynamics was so engaging and entertaining that official servers couldn't even come close.

Today i played l2 for the first time, goddes. i played i think 3-4 hours, and i've been playing mmorpg for over 10 years, and in those few hours i saw the signs, rng, p2w, infinite grind, rmt, bots, multi accounts, needless to say, instantly deleted the game, i just want to play and have fun, ff14 is the only mmorpg worth playing imo

most if not all mmo's are expensive. This game is still a decent value.
