@@richglassBA55My bad. The studio version's tuning is slightly off, isn't it? Then, slide C up to D! 😂
@richglassBA552 ай бұрын
@@timothydukeman7619 I'll stand by my work. I listened hard again to my source material (slightly out of tune studio rec'ding), and there is no sliding into those notes, IMO. Of course, you're welcome to your opinion and interpretation. Btw, I wasn't using any live recording or (old or new) vids as primary source material, and I'm not trying to play it exactly like Geddy (I would use a different bass and spend more time on the bass tone and his unique RH attack if so). I thought it was a cool riff and an excellent short study that I could put in F. That was my goal in this vid. Thanks again for your consideration :)

Amazing bass! How do you find the 70’s P bass compare to other eras?
@richglassBA554 ай бұрын
I have several Nashville colleagues who've owned many, many P-basses over the decades so they would have a better handle on your question. IMO though, I've found that although you can group them into eras that each bass is pretty much unique. It's the player's talent, experience, expertise, and technique that can draw out the sweetness (or bitterness! lol) of a bass. Thanks! :)
