I wish we had this interest in terriers and the other dogs here in Australia like you do. If you haven't seen a New Zealand hunting breed, thats been bred over many decades to get a type (well 2 types, one large and one smaller, the smaller for bailing and the larger for hanging on to feral pigs) although some of the smaller ones hang on also. They are called Waller Terriers and they are brilliant dogs

I´m trying to puzzle out what´s the difference from Lurcher and Deerhound. My boy in the picture is 45 kilos now definitly greyhound/Dane/Pastor Catalan mix, here they just call them Mestizo/mixed

Friends, I love lurchers! Greyhound mixed with other breeds. I like the aesthetics inherited from greyhounds. LONGYLIUM, CURVILIENT, MUSCULOUS body, short hair, with varied and beautiful colors. But the greyhounds' temperament does not have what I want and I look for it. I want a dog with a territorialist sense, at least, react to the arrival of strangers in my home. Does the greyhound mix German Shepherd dog produce a good watchdog? What do you say ? Or do you know of another mix that produces an animal with the appearance of greyhound but with guard dog temperament? Thank you very much.

@derekdean100 they are first cross whippet jack russells breed for a fox pack in ireland and used to work tight inaccessable cover, i know the breeder, and their is loads of whippets in ireland mate

@hawwy01 thanks , were down in wicklow, cant beat a bit of sport with the dogs, the 2 terrier cross whippets in the vid are flyin now, that was their first hunt
