I'm amazed at 76 his voice is still strong and he looks like he's in his late 50s to mid 60s here.

Stunning guitarist and fantastic story teller, a pleasure to watch. Its interesting when he said Paul played Michelle with a different chord to the sheet music. As someone that learned everything from song books, you wonder how much the beatles were involved with their making, obviously not much. Jarvis Cocker in an interview with Paul at LIPA asked him this, unfortunately he added to the question that he noticed there were a lot of difficult chords in the beatle songs. Paul only answered this part of the question saying the chords were Jazz chords shown to them from someone they knew in Liverpool. The Beatles in their early days obviously didn't use song books so didn't get how important they are to the solo player.

Really nice to see this. Barry was my close friend and mentor 50 years ago. He introduced me to many of his friends, including Mike Bloomfield (who was so incredibly nice). Barry never gets the respect he deserves for his amazing musicianship, the people he's played with, the career he's had.

Jaw dropping. What an incredible musician. The crazy thing is neither John, Paul or George could do what he just did. He plays every fucking note!

God I loved the Dr. Demento Show. I learned so much about music as a kid beyond the top 40: The Residents, Devo, B52s, Wildman Fischer, Spike Jones, Frank Zappa, BeefHeart, and the wonderful songs of Shel Silverstein all became faves - and still are! The best radio I’ve ever known.

I was very friendly with his brother Graham and often went round to their house in Exeter Road, Southgate. I recall Laurence practising whenever I was there and his mum saying "It will never lead to anything!" Lovely lady, but how wrong she was! What an amazing guitarist!

So Bob was with The Beatles when they visited Elvis. I hardly doubt they took a promoter along. First he said it was John that wanted to meet Jane Mansfield, then he changed it to Paul. Thinking half these stories never happened

Bob is in his 80's , of course he will err in mentioning names . But you got me thinking now.... I do recall back in the early 1980's Bob telling a story that for The Beatles first concert he borrowed money from a convent of nuns to bring The Beatles to L.A.

18.37-Unlikely to be true. The George quote is 'Nobody said anything, but we all knew' at Candlestick Park. Paul the diplomat would not have spoken so openly to an outsider about retiring from the stage after the final 66 tour. They didn't need another self sabotaging PR gaffe, Paul just wouldn't have said it.

His dates are all off. "The Beatles" first gig in Hamburg was in 1960. Their contract with EMI/Parlophone, and their first single was released, in 1962. And that was after Pete Best. And VeeJay first released "Introducing The Beatles" in September,1964.
