Great to see you back, Dave! Years ago I bought a white silk scarf from Aerostich. I felt a bit self-conscious at first because it was definitely noticable worn with my black Roadcrafter suit. But I soon started thinking of WWI pilots and early bikers who wore them -- not just to protect them from the weather (the silk feels like air-conditioning when it's wet) but also to protect their necks from the chafing of their collars. At that point I started really liking the look and was proud to wear it. Happy scarfing, brother! 🧣🏍

Long time no see! Nice to see you're still kicking about. That looks incredibly comfy. I usually use a neck gator or balaclava up north here. It'll get down to around 37f before I abandon the idea of riding. Too much risk of ice on the roads at that point. I've always worried about the ends of a scarf coming free and becoming a danger, but it seems you're tucking it pretty well. Probably won't be a danger at that point. Take care and stay safe!
@drummerdavemax27 күн бұрын
@lunar-firefly Hey! Good to hear from you! I hope you've been good! Yea, the danger of ice is enough to keep me from riding too ...no longer just about comfort, at that point. Have a great holiday season and new year! Take care! ✌️

Tire supplier so I can get 6 sets at a time Because I burn up a set of tires in a few rides. Rear sets reverse set the shifting to Moto GP Try to get a free gas take from KTM and use poor -15 so it fixes the gas take issue. Change the mirror so I don't have to move my head to see the mirror. Change the handle bars for one that's straighter and more high. Put shorty breakaway levers on it. And lever guards. Beta rrs is full on race bike.... I have the 500 rrs fully modded and its a beast, not to hot tempered down low but rips up high. I love how smooth the gearing is and that cooling fan comes in handy on single track slow trails out here in the desert. Easy access is for quick service and maintenance while out on the open trail. Betas are made for long distance enduro HARE style racing, its not a motocross bike. RR=Race Ready

Take my advice they can jam and shatter at any time regardless of miles, once they shatter your engine is toast within a few seconds, So you are saying the plastic cog saves another part of your engine? The same plastic cog that screws the top end if it fails? Peugeot use those plastic oil pump gears and they fail causing total engine failure, Yamaha use them in some engines but with very few problems even at high mileage ,

I did it live on twitch with a go pro hero 12 and sennheiser mic bluetooth connected. Also tried my cardo freecom 4+, so i need a better mic my voice wasnt clear enough too much wind. The best thing to help with audio quality and cutting down the wind noise is if your helmet comes with the cloth piece that snaps in under your chin! That will make all the difference you need ...it worked for me! Good luck! 👍 ✌️

what are the signs that the slave is going out? i have a 2022 husky 701 sm and when i pull the clutch in and put it in gear from neutral to first the bike violently lurches forward and ultimately dies
@drummerdavemax Жыл бұрын
It sounds like it's going. When it goes out, it would be like cutting the cable of a regular mechanical (non-hydraulic) clutch. One guy I talked to, when his slave broke, he was sitting at a light in first gear with the clutch lever held in, and the bike suddenly lurched forward into traffic! ...luckily he grabbed the brakes and stalled it and didn't get hurt!

Reviving an old conversation on your video... How tall are you and what is your inseam or jean size? I am 5 foot 9...9 and a half inches tall and wear 30" jeans and about to mount this on my 2017 DUKE 690. Will let you know the results.
@drummerdavemax Жыл бұрын
Not sure what my inseam is, but we're the same height. Are you thinking you're too tall, therefore it won't help you? ...my opinion is, a shorter rider might get a little more benefit from it, but I could totally feel the difference & it made freeway riding much more comfortable! ✌️
@morkys2410 Жыл бұрын
@@drummerdavemax Not necessarily thinking I am so tall it won't help at all, just wondering about turbulence. I rode on the highway at speed on Sunday without it and it was lame. My concern is that I had a 2019 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and the small "tall" triumph windscreen was ok. Wasn't much but it did something. I ended up buying a larger windscreen and it was horrible. There was aweful turbulence and I only made it tolerable by adding a clip-on deflector. I have since sold the Scrambler 1200 but I should have reverted to the "tall" summer screen. I will try the Puig and let you know how it works. Have you since sold the 690 Duke? Looks like you recently bought an MT-09?
@drummerdavemax Жыл бұрын
@morkys2410 That's interesting! ...I figured the taller the better ...guess not! Ha ha! I'm not sure if mine is causing turbulence because I haven't tried any other size of windscreen, but it's definitely more comfortable than without it! Yea, I've still got my Duke 690, and let me know what you think about the Puig windscreen. Take care!
@morkys2410 Жыл бұрын
@@drummerdavemax believe me you would know if there is turbulence. It's nice if a windscreen blocks the air from hitting you or a bike with no screen gives you clean air. But sometimes the air is directed right at your head and its turbulent...your head wobbles and bounces and whips around in the turbulence and it sucks.
