hi i need a favor. i did not know that pachali bhairav who is regarded as god by the newaris is actually kirati king. so does this means newaris are descendant of kirat?? are they related to rais limbus and other kiratis?

ktm is the place of newars.no one others.kirat r among those who luckily get chance to rule over nepal.we can say newar as being a nation where different people from different places come and emerge with local people of ktm(newars).among those some r from kirat some r from india etc.so newar r the original inhabitants of ktm valley where different people emerge with local people and adopted local language(nepal bhasa) .and about decendents of kirat then I wanna ask u question that r those all buddhism follower r decendents of buddha's clans?coz they all take buddha as god who was son of king of kapilvastu at that time.

prajen bhadel shiva puran states that lord shiva is kirat god. later lord shiva was adopted by the aryan into hinduism and all people today worship lord shiva. but lord shiva was first worshiped by kiratas.

newari language falls is tibeto-burmese language and not indo-aryan. scholars has classified newari language under MahaKiranti branch.

Isha Joshi Newars are mixed culture. you can't simply call newars descendant of mongoloid peoples. It is mixture of all different types of people who settled in kathmandu valley and in time developed a unique culture, language and tradition. that's why some newars look like mongoloid, some aryan, some like dravidian indian.
