Awesome first day with the camera. Wow you are covering a lot of ground quickly. Really did enjoy the unexpected wipeout LOL Thanks for the video - keep them coming😁

Thanks, Ed. Yes, I almost made it through the day without a crash until the last hill of the day, so it was unexpected for me too. Probably got too complacent. LOL

WOW Rock steady drone footage!! I really like the transition to dusk especially the dusk part with the fast moving water. Thanks for sharing

Thanks, Ed. I actually created this time lapse "video" using my Nikon DSLR Camera mounted on a tripod and took about 700 photos between 2-4 seconds apart; then I stitched them all together into this video. It was a bit windy up there on the Elder Trail so I think the drone wouldn't have been able to be as steady. My favourite part is the last segment with the bridge and the river flowing fast too. I wish I had done more of that and less or none of the other parts.

Nice views/perspectives of the bridges, plus I saw my old apartment building and the fire escape that was used to climb up and watch the fireworks from the rooftop. Lots of good memories in this video, thanks for sharing it!

Another great video John - thanks for sharing. We have skied in the area so it was very interesting to see it from above. BTW every time we drive pass Moose Meadows I say "Hey I should fly there" - just haven't done it ...yet.🙃
@4propfilms2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Ed. I was only lucky enough to see a moose here once several years ago while I was driving by on the highway but I'm sure they come here quite often.

Geez sure is easy to tell how that Mountain got its name - that looks steep. What great views far below. Thanks John we got to see the views without actually doing the work to get up there. WaHoo!

Thanks, Ed. There were a few steep sections for sure but lots of good switchbacks too so some easier sections than expected too.

Thanks, Mark! It's been a lot of trial and error and watching lots of youtube videos about how to make youtube videos from the drone footage, but it's not that hard to throw something together fairly quickly. DaVinci Resolve is really awesome free video editing software and there are lots of good videos on how to use it. (hint, hint). :)

Thanks, Ed. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It was a beautifully sunny day for sure. It's always fun to do a snowshoe up there to the Mosquito hut and back; we usually do that at least once every winter.
@Gimbal-Air2 жыл бұрын
Finally got a chance to watch your new video and it was worth the wait. I really like this video as it gives another perspective of a trail we have enjoyed many times. The Slocan River sure is beautiful from the air this time of year. John maybe we might get lucky and you will create more videos showing just how beautiful the Slocan River can be as it changes from winter to summer
@4propfilms2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind comments, Ed. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I can't wait to get back there a little later in the spring when the snow is gone and there will be many more colours to see.

Beautiful. Perfectly captures the feeling I remember of cross country skiing. +1 for what Gimbal Air said about the long shadows.

That's a great video it could be used for an advertisement for Mud Lake Ski Trails - you have it almost to yourself and its so beautiful. I really like the start of the video but I love the long shadows like at 2:50 - they are the best I have ever seen!! I definitely have subscribed to your channel because I sure don't want to miss the next video. Matter of fact I think I will grab a coffee and watch it again.
@4propfilms2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the supportive and encouraging comment, Ed. Things did work out for us pretty well to have the lake loop almost entirely to ourselves that day, other than right at the start when the grooming tracker came out of the bush on the Winterberry Trail and surprised me right after I had launched the drone. Luckily, he just said "beautiful day; have fun" and off they went, so I was free to fly. It was just fluky luck that I got those great shadows rather than planning, but I'll take credit for those anyway. LOL Thanks again!
