I actually created this time lapse "video" using my Nikon DSLR Camera mounted on a tripod and took about 700 photos between 2-4 seconds apart; then I stitched them all together into this video. It was a bit windy up there on the Elder Trail so I think the drone wouldn't have been able to be as steady. My favourite part is the last segment with the bridge and the river flowing fast too. I wish I had done more of that and less or none of the other parts.

It's been a lot of trial and error and watching lots of youtube videos about how to make youtube videos from the drone footage, but it's not that hard to throw something together fairly quickly. DaVinci Resolve is really awesome free video editing software and there are lots of good videos on how to use it. (hint, hint). :)

Things did work out for us pretty well to have the lake loop almost entirely to ourselves that day, other than right at the start when the grooming tracker came out of the bush on the Winterberry Trail and surprised me right after I had launched the drone. Luckily, he just said "beautiful day; have fun" and off they went, so I was free to fly. It was just fluky luck that I got those great shadows rather than planning, but I'll take credit for those anyway. LOL Thanks again!
