could be, that your desklamp (assume you have an led-lamp or bulb as desklamp) emits the wavelength, that triggers the gel to cure. could also be, that some of your bottles are not totally lighttight at around the rim anymore. and yes, matte topcoat likes to react much faster, than other gelproducts. I've started to pour my bottled matte top into a gelpot instead.
