I've just figure it out what you called the proble, at 20:47, by setting the position you actually define the pivot point from wich it will increase or decrease say you define position to be 50% 0 (center top) then second paramter (x, y) will increase downwards, on the other hand if you set position 50% 100% (middle bottom) it increases second parameter upwards 😊😊

I saw your previous one which was without narrration and accelerated, I followed all the way to 70% but got lost, but I came across this version and yeah, super awesome, you expressing your ideas what and why you are taking some decisions is gr8t. Just getting used to sass and saw some animations on codepen which also makes use of pug, I got impressed on how good sass pug and animations go together. Looking forward to watch and follow the other videos about art and animations of yours.

@@alvaromontoro Everything is fine, but when I try to animate the nodes the lines were misplaced and I'm using JSP servelet for some backend process. The problem is animation is working. I don't know why.

Can you explain why the box shadow "fixes" the liquid effect?

I don't know the technical explanation for this, so I may describe it incorrectly (my apologies in advance). The idea is that the contrast filter sharpens the edges of two colors by shifting the colors, but when there is no color (when there's a full transparency), there's nothing to sharpen and leaves the blurred area blurred. By adding the box-shadow, we are surrounding the element with a color instead of with transparency, so the filter can do its magic.

Thanks! I plan on doing that. Right now it's a big rough around the edges and needs a lot of cleaning (it was a quick and dirty thing). Hopefully this weekend.

I learnt this from @anatudor (m.kzbin.info) and Temani Afif. In my case, it was more of trial and error based on what they'd done before.

can you get non-button data like motion, orientation or the infrared sensor?

That's a great question. The answer depends on many factors (mainly the type of controller and the browser you are using). Not all controllers have motion/orientation sensors, and even those that do, sometimes don't share it on the browser. At this moment, only Firefox supports the `pose` interface that provides that data, but my original Nintendo Switch controllers always return null for the orientation, position, and acceleration.

Pretty slick (ab)use of gradients. Is this just for the challenge of doing it? Or are there actual benchmark advantages? I know the css renderer is blazin' fast... but is there actually a measurable advantage? Or just the challenge? Cuz... bro: that's like 7 lines of SVG, and you can even embed it INTO your CSS.

When the browser updates the tool bar background color, it will update the text and icons colors too, so they have enough contrast. For example, if you pick black, the text and icons will go white.

I don't know about how things are on iOS, but at least on Android, Firefox doesn't support theme-color at all, and Chrome (for some reason) only supports it in light mode.

There some quirky behavior on Chrome. Safari supports it on Mac and iOS but there's not a big change. Overall, the support on mobile browsers is ~92% according to canIUse: caniuse.com/meta-theme-color
