The percentage doesn't matter. You have to choose the correct dialogue in the oil fields to unlock this

There are multiple gut wrenching response from Johnny depending on your dialogue choice. My favorite was talking about death, and his response was, “But honestly? The thought of you gone so I could live always scared me more.” In my mind, it made me feel like despite being my choice to do this, him saying that made it feel more like it was his final sacrifice to save me.

Yeah the emotions and dialogue were S+ plus tier as always. But them basically having V tell everyone via text they’re on a “temporary leave” for 2 goddamn years, was F tier execution. 🤦‍♀️

This is the only game I ever played (and I played a bunch over 30+ years) where a sad ending has me cry each freakin' time ! In original version or in french, this ending with Valerie or Vincent is always heart breaking and tear jerking ...

that sad thing is.....that this ending was probably worse for V than just dying....... V misses 2 years being in a coma, all the people that knew V had basically moved on with their lives and V is now unable to use cybernetics and thus weaker than most other people......... There is nothing worse for a person who was seeking Glory and notarity than to become just another face in the crowd......

This ending. albeit I rank fairly low as I dont believe the outcome was overall better than any of the others. It exemplifies that johnny is ok with his mortality. He IS on borrowed time and he knows it and wouldnt hold it against V for picking any of the choices. whether its to go off into the yonder. or let him live again. or delete him. or anything. he KNOWS he has no right to force or guilt V into giving him his body. and he KNOWS that at the end of the journey. One of them most likely will have to part ways no matter what. Since NC has no happy endings. It would of been a fucking miracle for both of them to live. and johnny absolutely knows that. thats why hes so aggressive about a lot of things. maybe its a defense mechanism to make V hate him and to get rid of him instead. as V is his friend. dont know. but johnny went from just a asshole to goat friend youd die for.

Worst ending. You lose everything and end up a nobody. This is the ending for the NPCs of the world. The ones that strive and cling for mediocrity.

self projecting L take dude ALL other endings=you die live for a few months doing w/e is worth it to you? apply it to real life you get the chance to live would you not take it lol the tower=you get to live "You lose everything and end up a nobody" thats just pure projection from you. At this point in the game V has more than enough credits to do WHATEVER THEY WANT like becoming a fixer, which V says in the epilogue is that "You lose everything and end up a nobody"? sure they cant use cyberware but doing merc work and flipping a coin whether you live or die is not a terrible trade off. Point is that V gets to live and has their whole life ahead of them to with as they wish you dont get that in any other ending Objectively Best ending.

this ending is the best one Johnny is already gone and V's old life of doing merc work flipping a coin if they live or die is not a bad trade off. And it doesnt strip their personality either that changes and you know you get to live which you dont get in any other ending.

I think what V tells him always comes to true "what if you are also turning into me" if V is an asshole that is rude to him then silverhand is a asshole if he is compassinate and values his friends and nice to him... then he becomes nice so many tried to reach nice side of silverhand, but they are either dead or remember him as a legend that was a dick but for some reason... V succeeded at changing him... person that he tried to kill as first thing when they met. At temperence... Silverhand we have is not "silverhand", its merge of V and silverhand. He is nice, compassinate and cares deeply for his friends He might have quitted smoking because its V's body and V hated smoking but... lets be honest him making his friend stop doing it is not silver hand thing to do. "Its bad for your body and soul" he cres even for such a tiny thing now. He leaves behind something so they can remember him too. Sure he calls himself silverhand but he has memories of V and acts more like V. Something to think about.
