Dr Huang! I could really use your help. I don't expect you to personally help me. But turns out I broke my wrist in a mountain bike crash at the beginning of covid. It took two years before i found out i broke my wrist. Its been nearly five years now. Ive gained over 100lbs cuz i cant ride my bike anymore and i still cant open doors do any bench presses or pushups sometimes i cant even use a tv remote. I'm a broke uninsured photographer. This is messing with my entire life at this point. Is there anyone you can recommend to help me please?!

I appreciate the entire staff at all hospitals. The electronic medical record system takes up more time than hardcopy records, and government and insurance companies make patient care much more complex. I admire doctors like you who can still smile, stay calm, and be caring to staff and patients. Thank you Doctor!

From the full length video, Dr. Lueng said - I’m paraphrasing below: These materials provide windows for the program to look into for certain “seeds” for a good orthopedic surgeon. The interview was very good, very insightful from you both.

Hi Dr. Huang: could you shed lights on the following? What’re the individuals who can support you? How to cultivate the relationships?
@therealscrubbedout
@therealscrubbedout Ай бұрын
Great question! Your support network can come from anywhere and there are no real rules for this. Generally it's great to have different networks you can turn to (personal, professional). These can come in the form of loved ones, friends, professional colleagues and formal programs. At our institution, we have a formal mentorship program, peer support networks, coaching and try to encourage team building. Hope this helps!

@@therealscrubbedout Great insights on multiple support networks. There is a cost for each network, and there are benefits from each network, too. I guess the institute and program should make it a low cost and high yield to join and participate in a network. Thanks a lot for your reply.

@therealscrubbedout
@therealscrubbedout Ай бұрын
This can happen for non-displaced fractures (ones that are broken but not out of place) but the criteria to do it is very strict. It’s more common in the pediatric population but rarer in adults, where most people have surgery with a nail.

My mom and dad were RN’s for 50 and 46 years respectively. My sister is a current RN, I’m a paramedic. That was masterful, mom did GI and Med Surg…. Now I see why she thought it was so imperative my and my siblings learned basic sewing and knot techniques. Well done! Got anymore tricks? Something maybe more for field surgeon work? I do search and rescue on the side.
