Hallo Amanda. Great channel. I am looking for the video the great, late David Bolstad made on the standing chop. It seem its been taken of you tube. I am happy that his son, Morgan is following the family tradition. Cheers

Thank you Willie I too have seen that KZbin video and it’s very good. Found it!!!! I’ve shared on Facebook. Robert Dowling posted the link and I’ve shared it to my Facebook page. Grinding Dust is the KZbin channel you’ll find it on. Cheers

I bet the guy in the blue shirt sounds exactly like the guy counting
@theroachman2534 ай бұрын
So that guy is just standing there in from of a swinging axe?😂
@bluj94554 ай бұрын
Okay so i know theyre professionals. But everyone makes mistakes. The guy in the blue shirt is not standing in a great place. If that axe flies out of his hand that guys gonna have a bad day
@amandabeams33544 ай бұрын
Yes the Axemen are very competent and it is highly unlikely that will occur. In the event it may happen the risk assessments all indicate that the axe will not travel far enough to endanger anyone. The guys are aiming all their energy into the log of wood.

What if the axe slips out of hand?
@amandabeams33545 ай бұрын
It has happened. The axe generally lands within a few metres of the Axeman. This is why the stands are a measured distance apart. To avoid any incidents if that may occur. Risk assessments have determined the safe distances.
@kevinkandra38625 ай бұрын
I think these guys have a good grip on that handle once they get swinging.
@regain5005 ай бұрын
@kevinkandra3862 everyone has a good grip until they don't. If they loose control and Bury an axe in your femoral artery tell the doc you thought he had a pretty good grip on it when he asks you why you were standing so close.
