How much

I've had my aids for 20 years and always went to the hospital for this, but I recently changed from part to full helix earpiece and have struggled to get used to it, I think because the tube was cut too short. So I thought I'd have a go myself and was amazed at how easy it was. Although I've seen it done loads of times I was glad of the video as a guide. Many thanks.

My wife creates an excessive amount of ear wax, and has profound hearing loss The hearing aid is an Oticon. I can't find an air vent, and there's no rubber dome to remove. Replacing the wax trap was the first thing I tried. The ear molds are not removable, you need a special tool, the receiver looks like it is inside the mold itself. I tried to fix it myself, she ended up needing a new ear mold. It is an Oticon The audiologist she went to retired, and closed his office. We went to several audiologists, non of them will even attempt to clean or repair them. We can't afford the ~$4,000 to replace them, they're rechargeable. What's going on? HELP! Evidently, no audiologist knows anything about this type of hearing aid, I find that incredible.

Why has this all changed now in 2024 ? Mothers are now told to put a cushion/pillow under the baby & have the head of the baby in front of you near your knees . That’s Bassetlaw area .

The tubes are worn out when they go solid and have them replaced around perhaps every 4 months depending how solid the tubes are.

Such a lovely idea but how about they do something like this at a+e if they can do it on a ward they can improve a+e there's little provision for mentally ill on wards some comforting pictures comfy chairs would've been nice it's very hard when you're serious mental health issues and at a+e staff don't realise people may come over stroppy etc it's distressing and stressful for all at a +e but if you have sensory processing issues like me and autism it harder still your on very hard chairs for hours noisy waiting area if it's weekends you may be among people who have been drinking causing people like me further stress then you have a meltdown elderly patients after a number of hours are often put in abay, on a bed children in aseperate area but nothing seperate for us I can't help having bpd, GAD, Autism, severe depression intermittent psychosis like episodes my last experinceat A+e was during early covid never again unless I was in a ambulance blue lighted in as even as a ordinary ambulance patient you could be waiting hours there was never any risk assessment to me on a+e only if id gone after a od asking how your mental health is when triaged is not a adequate risk assessment id rather go to the UTC at Pontefract it's smaller calmer staff more caring when I went to a+before COVID I used to leave the nain hospital without getting sern a 10+ hour wait is ridiculous would be nicer if just a seierate waiting area with magazines, till things improve with a+e I'm staying with utc

Thank you for a very helpful video , which potentially should make us more able to manage our aids. I have 2 suggestions which I hope could help a future updated video. Firstly, it didn't show the process for the very last step (attaching the tube to the aid) and I was unable to do this part so eventually I had to go back to the hospital for help. Secondly it would be very useful to show the procedure with both right and left ears as everything looks so different. Hope you can do an update, it has great potential for thousands of people.

The tubes on my hearing aids 🦻 🦻 does eventually go solid because it’s the moisture in the air that happens everyday. This is what happens next when I don’t have tubes replaced is that I can’t hear 👂 properly and perhaps 🤔 the hearing could get worse where could it become profound 🧐 hearing loss and perhaps 🤔 it could serve me right. There are 5 types of hearing loss are normal, mild, moderate, severe and finally profound 🧐 hearing loss. My hearing loss is moderate. On my left ear 👂 is worse than my right ear 👂. I had been wearing hearing aids 🦻 🦻 since 1980. The battery 🪫 🔋 inside the hearing aids 🦻 🦻 lasts for around perhaps 🤔 2 weeks depending on the volume to my hearing aids 🦻🦻. The volume on 🔊 is when I can hear 👂 and the volume off 🔇 is when I can’t hear 👂 the sounds. In public places, I tend to wear a woolly hat 👒 over my hearing aids 🦻🦻 because I don’t want people to take the Mickey out of me that I wear wear hearing aids 🦻🦻 because it’s none of their bloody business 👨‍💼. When I want tube replacements at the audiology at the north Devon district hospital 🏥 in Barnstaple, north Devon, southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, I must always make sure ☑️ that I phone 📞 up ⬆️ the hospital 🏥 to arrange to have tubes replaced. The audiology at the hospital 🏥 is open every Mondays to Fridays throughout the year except public holidays. When Christmas 🎄🤶 🧑‍🎄 🎅 Eve (24th December) and New Year’s Eve (31st December falls on a Monday to Friday in these years, the audiology is open at normal hours. The reason that I must phone 📞 up ⬆️ the audiology at the hospital 🏥 to make an arrangement plan appointment is because of the COVID - Coronavirus Disease 🦠. It keeps all audiology patients much safer without being damaged. 👍 😀

Why though do mothers breastfeed boys less? When her daughter is born a mother will practically destroy herself to breastfeed her but when her son is born formula seems perfectly acceptable of a sudden. Its mad!

“Never force feed a baby” literally what the midwives at Peterborough City Hospital were doing to our baby and making us feel guilty for not managing to force the “recommended” amount of milk down her neck. How is information and action from one NHS trust so different to another?

Tubes honestly do go solid because it is connected to the air. It happens around perhaps every 3 months depending how much it is in the air. This happens to me at the north Devon district hospital around every 4 months depending how solid tubes are. My hearing loss is around 65%. This is moderate hearing loss. 😊
