I hate how the entire album isn't online somewhere to listen to. I've gotta deal with KZbin reuploads, or ripping the CD and putting it up somewhere

Hello Space Lady, I remember you playing on the corner of 23rd and Mission St. in San Francisco when I was a young 12 year old buckaroo.I would walk by and stop to watch and listen and love every moment, you make beautiful music and thank you for being a part of my memories growing up in the Mission those were the days.

I’m hearing a few extra lyrics and vocal touches not on the LP/CD version…no complaints, though…one of the most danceable offerings he’s done in a minute at the time, and over a decade later, I’m glad this found me.

@@lerokine What I said was for the original 5-min version of the song from the full-length release -regardless of format - compared to this edited version.

As the person above said, I’m pretty sure it’s actually mocking and making fun of them; if you read the genius lyrics, the only one you can highlight points out how this is probably the case. Especially with Jarvis Cocker’s notoriety for making such songs. Either way, I doubt there are many people ‘supporting’ this behaviour in all seriousness - we’re just pulp fans.

Just another in a long line of gems from Pulp. Heard it first when I was 22, but being terminally socially awkward my whole life, I knew I would appreciate the dark perverse wit of it many years into the future

Quando eles batem numa guitarra quebrada As ruas tem um charme bem tropical As embaixadas que ficam sem opções Onde os turistas roncam e se decompõem Você dançou em pleno fogo cruzado Se mascarou, e vai voltar pro passado Passou calor (?) equatorial Não tem confete, não tem mais carnaval You wouldn't know what to say to yourself Love is a poverty you couldn't sell Misery waits in vague hotels to be evicted Maré de azar, cantam canções funerárias Pros garanhões, que são bronze e anabólicos Vão tropeçar na neblina do milênio Até caírem e se desinflarem You wouldn't know what to say to yourself Love is a poverty you couldn't sell Misery waits in vague hotels to be evicted Oh now you've had your fun under an air-conditioned sun It's burned into your eyes, leaves you plain and left behind I see them rise and fall into the jaws of a pestilent love You wouldn't know what to say to yourself Love is a poverty you couldn't sell Misery waits in vague hotels to be a victim
