Isn’t it interesting that the Bible says the exact same thing, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 6-7

I saw this outstanding film upon its original release and admired the performances by the lead actors, but then and even more now, two items from the film stand out: the rule of law and and that principles still have meaning. We as Americans seem to be forgetting these important ideals these days.

I love in the last scene that his finishing Donovan's sentence shows that he HAS thought about the possibility of it not going well. Perhaps he has even worried about it... ...but his actions show that he has rejected the worry as 'not helpful.'

This was a very under rated movie. *SPOILER At the end it's said that Donovan later went to Cuba to negotiate a prisoner release from the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. I'd love to see that as a sort of sequel.

I very much like thie quote and use it my self. Sometimes being worried would help keeping you motivated to change things, but l understand that it is very easy to slip into a higher dose of being worried that can have the opposite effect. I guess there should be a better way to deal with difficulties. If anyone have a suggestion l would like to hear it.

There's always a good American willing to do the right thing to uphold our system of democracy, freedom and fairness. Just like John Adams did when he defended the British soldiers of the Boston Massacre. Everyone is entitled to a fair defense, or America does not exist.

@gorzaryan
@gorzaryan Жыл бұрын
