I threw out all my Betamax tapes 😔. You've just jogged my memory as to so many good performances lost forever 💔

Saw them in York in '73 Absolutely barmy and brilliant. Got all their albums, mostly vinyl. Zal was a brilliant guitarist AND clown. Nothing like them before or since. The Penthouse Tapes album is great fun. They're a standout memory of my teenage years.

Back when Glastonbury was visited by real artists and real people instead of celebs & plastics. Also, beer and tickets were affordable...and you didn't have to worry about running into wankers like Rob Beckett

Con un poco de suerte aparece Rosendo Mercado entre el público. Aún conserva la primera entrada para el primer concierto que dió Rory en Madrid. ¡Que grande y auténtico Rory Gallagher!

Met these guys early doors at the QMU in Glasgow. Spoke to Craig and he was just a normal calm dude. Then they got on the stage and he seemed to fall apart. Falling all over the stage and stuff like that. Hope he's doing okay now, he was a sound guy. p.s. The Strokes lead singer and Jack Black were arseholes.

What a shame for all these people hired to sell the idea of suicide. They broke the greenhouse window to simulate the broken door that had no lock. There were no gunshot prints on Cobain's hand, his letter was manipulated, they didn't investigate the drink, the cigarette butts, they didn't do the toxicology test, they simply organized everything in a few days to call the Electrician and spot him and then call 911. Like I was more of a fool to believe that, while young people took their own lives saying it was in honor of Cobain. 30 years later and it's not long before these people in the system review the case and remove the title of suicide for all of this. Investigate, read, seek the truth because this is part of real life.

I've listened to the opening chords of "Can't Get There From Here" probably 6,495 times in my life, but hearing it here in this setting...in 1985, at a time when The Smiths were also in their prime...I've not heard Buck and Marr sound more similar than in those opening notes. If it wasn't an R.E.M. classic, it could very well have been a Smiths rave up...although I doubt Morrissey knows how to get to Philomath. 😂

I hold Ray in the same regard as John, both tremendously gifted songwriters/singers. Able to capture emotions in melody and rhyme like very few others. "In my Life" and "Waterloo Sunset" are maybe two of the greatest songs ever recorded?.
