I found this video completely by chance and i'm glad I have, I personally am not Christian, im not from Hampton, and im just a random person on the internet. When I clicked on this video out of curiosity I thought I would get a political video going either way. This defied all of my expectations. You managed to address a very controversial political issue and only preach love and solutions that could work for either ways. This video made me learn a lot even though I am not even Christian and I have strong political biases. You both are true examples of how Christians should act/behave and thank you for making this video.

Wow, thanks for the kind words and thoughtful comment! It was very helpful and meaningful to us. We really appreciate you taking the time to watch our podcast. Feel free to ask any questions relating to God, the Bible, etc and we would include an attempted answer in a future episode.

Hey Greg and Matt. Just surfing and your podcast came up. The topic was of special interest to me. 2 weeks ago our senior pastor used a word in his sermon that shocked me. He was talking about anger and used the phrase "p-off". Although it 's

commonly used by many--I didn't think it was appropriate spoken from the pulpit. I know it was a surprise to many and it definitely made an impact. Thanks for your comments and Scripture references to help me with my dilemma in the appropriate use of the phrase. I don't feel it was justified and hope it doesn't encourage it's use by others.

Thanks so much for watching and sharing with us what you are facing right now at your church. Matt and I thought this was such an important issue that we included a conversation about it at the end the next video in our series that will be published next week. We obviously don’t know all of the details, but we tried to give some helpful information for your specific situation. I will post a link to that video in the comments here once we have released it on KZbin. We are praying for you!

I didn’t know these question and answer videos were available until this morning. I look forward to listening to more. I was surprised to hear Pastor Greg acknowledge that we are not eternal beings with eternal souls until we are given that gift. I am happy I found a church that is so biblically based.

Well, another great episode. I somehow missed this being posted 2 days ago but, I am glad I could sit and enjoy it on a Saturday night. I am humbled by the honourable mention, too. If I am total transparent, I have wondered about these questions myself and I am glad folks are asking for Biblical perspectives on them. Bravo Pastors Greg & Matt for offering that.

Habakkuk 3 is written as a song for stringed instruments yet the only hymn based on it is "Revive thy work O Lord." I paraphrased for a sermon and recorded it here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGacd4GPbJqFo6M Habakkuk's message is very relevant to our day as we look around the world and see so much trouble. His message in chapter 2 is taken up with tremendous power in the Epistles. The just will live by faith.

What great messages on joy, the fruit of the Spirit, have been taught by Pastor Greg - both last week and this current week. As he stated, we can live with physical pain and still have joy; and we can live with sorrow and still have joy, because the presence of God gives great joy in the presence of pain and sorrow. For me, I often find it difficult to share my joy and yet I must - my main desire as a believer is to bring glory to God, as He so deserves, because of His great love and salvation which He has so freely given to me. At current, I am reading/studying the Gospel of John and have spent much time on chapter 8 and my “rabbit trails” have taken me to Romans 8:33,34 “It is God who justifies”. We love God when we trust His work on the Cross - on our behalf - “Who will bring a charge against those who belong to God” - certainly not our anxieties or guilt can do that. An old (but current) writing by A.W. Tozer was also brought to my memory - here it is: “Salvation comes not by accepting the finished work, or by deciding for Christ. It comes by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Whole, Living, Victorious Lord Who, as God AND Man, fought our fight - and won it; accepted our debt as His own - and paid it; took our sins - and died under them; rose again - and set us free. This is the true Christ; nothing less will do”. This is the joy God has blessed me with for today.

The way you explained God’s glory and how the veil covers it has made suffering easier to understand. Your ending comments were especially comforting. I understood them to be “The amount of pain we suffer now does not seem fair, but neither does the goodness and mercy we receive from God - the two do not compare”. And I will also say that just because we, in our weakness (that you spoke of) do not like the pain now, it does not mean that God in His Sovereignty and omniscience should not be allowed to do what He knows to be best. Is that not how He shows His great love to us? Is that not what He did when Jesus died on the Cross, which was His plan from eternity?

I abstained from allmost all my entertainment for a week and learned a few things. I realized which video games I truly liked, or the ones I just played out of habbit; I realized how I was watching certain youtube channels out of habbit, and not because I really enjoyed all the videos they made; I also realized how much junk an needless files I had wasting space on my hardrive; and that I didn't really enjoy music and movies all that much; but over all the most important thing I realized was that I wasn't spending enough quality time with my devotions, and was leaning too heavily on rational, rather than reading God's word and following His principles... It's amazing how much God can tell thee if thou wouldst but spend some time in silence, and think about those quiet things that get drowned out by all the noise of material life.

God has seen my unloveliness, the deep brokenness and rebellion in my heart. Instead of withdrawing, He pursues me to the very end. He is faithful when I am not. He is constant when I am not. He is everything when I am nothing. Yet He says that I am His.

It took me a while to find this section to post in, but my non-tech savvy self finally took the time and figured it out, haha! I have two well known verses I love to go over in my mind when I don’t understand situations or circumstances in my life. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”. The other passage is “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” Psalms 139:16-18 NLT Even though most people who read the bible might know these verses really well, the thought that God has beautiful and good plans for my life and is Sovereign over space and time, helps me to remember that I don’t need to always understand exactly why I find myself in certain trials or hard times. I can trust that it’s all going to be used for good by the God who loves me to the point of sacrificing His own life so that I can have abundant peace and joy, and everlasting life.

I'm not finishing it! That's what we pay YOU to do.haha kidding.. ;) I am loved unconditionally even when I'm unlovable. I am valuable even when I feel I'm worthless. I matter even when I feel I don't. With millions and billions of people on this earth, God has all the time in the world for me, as if I'm the only one. That all sounds cocky. But it's not. I'm all of those things because of Who He is, and inspite of who I am. I'm so thankful.

Colossians 1:22 (NLT): 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. This verse always blows me away. I cant believe God would see me like this!
