I'm 37 and every time I see a celebrity who looks more normal I still consciously cheer on the inside. I remember I was 10 when the media went nuts about how "big" Kate Winslet was in Titanic and how revolutionary that was. Pathetic.

Are people really comparing 18yr olds to a 50yr old woman?

As a social worker I get really mad seeing people with like 4+ kids. The kids sooner or later end up in the system. Either social services get alerted because the kids don't bring lunches to school, or show other signs of neglect in school or at doctor and dentist visits. If they miraculously don't land in the system as a minor, they come to social services as an adult because they never got a proper qualifications for a job and just learned from their parents that they should never aspire to anything because you can always live off benefits and welfare. We have a couple families at our welfare centre that live off welfare for generations, like for as long as welfare by the state exists in my country. And in the youngest generation of one of those families are two out of seven from the same generation that are now the first ones in their family to ever get a proper job qualification and have an actual job. If these people were at least concerned with the education and support of their children and try to give them the attention and love they deserve, I wouldn't mind as much if they have more than four children. But the reality is, the more children you have, the less attention each of these kids get. I swear to god sometimes I could slap those parents when they come to me (after complaining in the last appointment that their kids don't listen and money is very tight and they don't have the capacity to watch if their kids brush their teeth properly) and then tell me with a smile that they are expecting their 5th child. Have you learned nothing? I keep reminding them that we pay for all medical contraceptives, IUD's, implants, the pill etc. But they just nod and smile and nothing is going in through that thick skull. Meanwhile all of their already existing kids have open files at the school counsellor and cps. Same with the parents who are addicts, have all their kids placed in foster homes by cps, but then they get out of prison being clean for four months and they decide another kid would be the perfect decision right now. They get pregnant and after about four months they relapse and don't give a fuck about the unborn child anymore. And even their own children know it's a bad idea and that the kid will land in foster care as soon as it's born. Just remove the ballsack and the uterus of these people, please.

These fat-activists are the primary reason why fat-shaming is justified. We must teach those lardasses a mighty lesson.

I have never had a great relationship with my dad either. The last time i saw him i was at his house with my brother. My brother and i spent the whole time sitting with each other while my dad ignored us and talked with people that came over. When my brother and i left he walked us out. I told him that when i come over that i want to spend time with you. Not sit there and be ignored. His response was "if you don't like it then don't come." Haven't spoken or seen him since.

The only reason why I ended up cutting out most food, and basically did a dramatic weight loss (from 170 to 120) (most of it was put on because until I got my knees fixed/rebuilt by a proper surgeon, I had literally malformed bones and still am not allowed to run-too young for replacements, but those are legit bone malformations so cardio outside of swimming is not allowed :/). That weight loss was caused not by the food, itself but by the additives in our process food of any sort-because I’m deathly allergic to the entire nightshade family and so many things use potato starch. And I’m allergic to the water/liquid they add into meat where I used to buy it cheaper. It’s really easy to cut out food if the consequences are basically immediate and can leave you hospitalized with your throat closing. >.> Not how I ever thought I’d go about losing weight, but you do “count” your calories when you’re scanning the back of everything, that isn’t fresh or flash frozen. ^^; It’s more expensive to buy meat that hasn’t been… what would be the opposite of shrink-flation by making meat weigh more to sell at a higher price? but since I can’t eat out (paprika is in so much stuff and it’s not worth just a mild allergic reaction) the money saved from that can go into food that won’t attempt to 86 me. 😅

You can't really compare the body of a 20 something year old to the body of a 50 year old, of course your body changes as you get older. It generally gets wider even if you're not 'fat' - bones and muscles are shifting, the shape just changes.

Thank you Michelle for what you said about eating after 6pm. It’s like this diet thin from the Philippines I learned about but they way you said it you could eat hot Cheetos all day until 6pm and think oh you’ll immediately lose weight without considering your caloric intake for the day. At my 50s I’ve decided to count calories because I didn’t want to starve myself again. Who says you can’t learn new things and still eat caloric snacks too. Did you ever watch secret eaters old British show?

The model that was married to Tom Brady. Giselle did a interview talking about how she would eat the same food as her kids by taking two bits of pizza if they have pizza or having one spoonful of ice cream if they had ice cream. So she could “eat normal” just in “small portions”. She actually referred to two bits of pizza as a small portion.
