Do you still have this machine? What did/do you like about it? We’re buying a gt25 and I’d like to know about some problems you’ve had and tips to watch for on this machine. We have other mulchers but this is the first gyrotrac.
@BillStecik Жыл бұрын
Nick no I sold the machine burt not because i didn't like it . I was just offered buckets of money and everything is for sale all the time . It was by far the best mulched i ever had . The track drives are the best design in the business . The machine was basically trouble free . The gyro track head is better than any other head . Some were not to good but the regulated cut head is unbeatable I sold it a year ago and only blew i hose and 1 relief valve in the pump. Both minor repairs and service access is excellent . I have nothing bad to say about them and I have owned every make of mulcher Im thinking of getting another head from gyrotrac and mounting it on a Delta crawler that I have

It’s gonna take a good number of people to stand up to the EPA and, really, the corrupt US Gov. It’s coming, just a matter of time now.
@dandable Жыл бұрын
The EPA isn’t about protecting the environment; it’s about control, eroding and crippling the US economy and bankrupting owner/operators.

Trust me, you are FAR better off rerouting your exhaust around the emissions garbage. You want a straight pipe from the turbo to a muffler stack. Drilling holes in the filter is not enough, and there is more catalyst type stiff in that system that is not removable. Even a 1" hole will plug up in time. 400,000 miles post delete on my DD13, learned a lot along the way. I do all my own work, so some lessons were costly, like doing what you did there.

I have no idea. If it uses DEF I don't know how it would work. This truck has 8K hours now and I had to change the turbo and then the turbo boost sensor so while it was in the shop I had a full delete done . That made it the engine it should be

The problem is also made worse by the design that EACH company builds into these filters so that the average Joe cannot conveniently change it out. It's about money more then the environment, because these systems are badly engineered I now every 2 weeks do a force regen on our trucks regardless if it asks for one or not, it has literally become this way because if I don't force regen our filters clog up quickly and more trips to the mechanics and hundreds of dollars paid and lost in productivity. My job literally exists because of the DPF and DEF systems, and I have to regen them because the systems don't properly do it automatically, all and all I personally burn 1440 gallons of diesel every year just to regen our small fleet that is $5760 in fuel costs. According to the web sources I put 32227.2 pounds of CO2 in the air simply because of the PMS regens I performed, just think of the waste of everything and pollution I just showed you... I'm only one guy, think of the entirety it is literally even worse.
