I got to see it in 1979. It was a part of the Bionic exhibit. The Bionic Woman runs across it while it’s collapsing.

Kenneth Johnson, who was the writer and producer of The Six Million Dollar Man & The Bionic Woman was discussing this in an interview from 2010. I had no idea that André the Giant played The Bigfoot and spoke very little English. He was describing how they used the tunnel to film a scene, to save money. In the scene, André had to carry Lee Majors (Steve Austin) through the tunnel and all of the camera crew kept falling over trying to film it. They finally had to hang on to something so they could do it. Lee was afraid that André would drop him, so Kenny instructd André to look down at the ground, to avoid getting dizzy and then had to allow him to carry him through the tunnel so that Majors would do it. I remember the tunnel being there when I was a kid, but I didn't remember the entrance looking like this.

I was 5 years old when I rode this, and I remember being terrified to death during the King Kong part. I'm glad I found this 😂.

I miss the old US from the 70s and 80s. It's really boring now. Miss seeing all the "homes" from the 1960s sitcoms but are no longer there. On the times we went the stop midway in the tour with the oversized telephone and shoe and other props was never open so I never got to see it and now it's long gone...

I cherish my memories of going over this bridge back in the 90s. It was the best part of the studio tour that I looked forward to as a kid. I completely understand why it's not in use anymore. Every time I visit the studio tour, which is rare as I don't live in CA, I look at that bridge with fondness when the tram passes by it.

The first film actually made at Leavesden was "Goldeneye" in 1995, as the Bond series' traditional home at Pinewood Studios was unavailable. This was also why they had to film "Tomorrow Never Dies" elsewhere.
