This is one thing that bothers me about the playoffs, the regional playoff. You have conferences like Frontier and Sun who have high ranked teams. They play after a first round bye and then have a regional playoff schedule where best teams knock off the next best teams and you don't have the top teams in the final rounds. What do you think?

I wish the NAIA had the funds to do a true bracketed postseason tournament. But the expense is just too high. Unfortunately this has been the issue for many years and is just one of the pains of small college football.

This is just my view. I don't like teams that run up scores against weak teams. Maybe the 89 points will get them to the #2 spot, even though they only played one tough team. That conference isn't as strong as the Frontier and others. Not a very classy thing to do to beat up teams like that.

Mostly due to the raters having low expectations at the start of the season. And right now no one in spots 18-25 are losing, so it makes it tough to punish a team you rated earlier in the season to move Taylor into one of those spots. With a few upsets, they will get there.

Olivet Nazarene lost in OT to an undefeated Taylor, and you have them in your Top 25? USF ILL is 2-0 win wins over Waldorf and Lawrence Tech. . .and you have them rated over SXU...I'm assuming weed is legal where you posted this from.

@@JasonDannelly lol, and I had it backwards, I'd swap ONU w Taylor, but both about the same imo. ST F was 7-3 last yr with losses to STX (21-28), and Roosevelt (24-28), (and ONU), and this yr opened up scoring 116-21 in first 2 games, beating last yrs teams by even greater margins. Look for the score against Conc MI this weekend (a dangerous team, just ask Marian lol) to bolster. Or not, could be wrong.. But we're talking 20+ ranks, it's sort of a pick your poison. A lot of uniformity and some inconsistency makes it somewhat of a toss up. Imo there are more obvious mis-ranks than whether a #19 USF (Ill) is better then a #20 STX. Is Conc MI top 25 if they can take a #5 to the wire? I go by who I think is generally best but might jumble cpl closely ranked teams if so and so beat so and so (Taylor/ONU)... depending of course on how strong the weed is lol 🫡

Great show with both coach’s… Being that my Grandson is the long-snapper for Keiser, I can say it has been an exciting season watching Keiser play football… Coach Sosha and his staff at phenominal. The Evangel-Bethel game was possibly the most exciting game of football I've ever seen. Evangel has been underrated all year so it's not too surprising they weren't moved up even though they took care of business and did what they were supposed to do.

Like the show - but I was at the friend / evangel game - we had 300 yards rushing and 4 of those fumbles were NOT forced they were Friends mistakes - and one turnover was one of those crazy punts that hit a guy walking off the field -would love to see them again. …. We are about to break the 10 games NAIA rushing record - you do not have to pass to win - my friends ….

I think a blue bloods episode would be awesome! I also think it would be cool to see an episode on best game day/stadiums in the NAIA. There are some really awesome environments that deserve to be highlighted.

Great show! I have been looking for a program that would explain how NAIA football sets up. I am a fan from the Sun Conference, and new to NAIA. WIth that said, I have some questions about the rankings. Mainly, the questions center around how some conferences seem to be given greater influence in the rankings than others. You remarked that the Frontier Conference makes a claim of the "SEC of NAIA, well that may just mean the Frontier has parity. I would think that the GPAC would be one of the top conferences with both #1 Northwestern and #3 Morningside, yet that conference lacks parity with only 4 out of 11 teams having a winning conference record. So, let's just go ahead and rank NAIA's best conferences by the greatest number of top level teams within each conference. Considering that metric, which conferences are the strongest? There are only nine Football Conferences in the NAIA.

This would be a great debate to add to our message boards at the Victory Sports Network. There's a ton of information to go through and how one could argue for the "toughest" conference in the NAIA. I think it's less about who is at the Top and more about what your middle 4-5 teams look like. The MSFA Mideast has some really solid middle group teams as does the Frontier Conference. The GPAC is very top heavy this year, as is the Sun Conference. The same can be said for the different divisions of the Heart.
