He rides too short and he's not riding the center of the horse. The posting trot is unnecessary since riding the trot is easier on the horse. Heels down is the worst thing a rider can do! When he canters the horse, he's obviously half a beat behind the horse! Very poor example of proper polo equitation!

Thank you for this very helpful explanation and demonstration. Polo is a beautiful game which was played in the Middle East only among Persian and Kurdish elites.

so the game actually originated in India, Manipur. It was the British colonizers who spread the game to other commonwealth countries.
