As per UNESCO’s official website, it’s a harmonious blend of architectural forms from North & South India. Please share relevant source that states otherwise to support your point, it will be helpful.

@touringsoulmates it's all in history books, dravida and nagara vesara styled evolved from this architecture.. Unesco official websites just give brief explanation not authentic historical doc..pattadkal is called as cradle of Indian temple architecture.. if u can see the shikara same kind later evolved as nagara vesara style with more decorated shikara, virupaksha temple is in earliest form of dravide style...

Early Nagra and Dravidian style of temple architecture are dated back to 5th century AD and Pattadakal is dated back to 7th-8th century AD, where both styles were blended to give rise to a new form of architectural style called Vesara. However, it's not disputed that temple architecture in whole India blossomed after 7th century. Due to vast experimentation in temple architecture in this area under Chalukyas, Aihole is called Cradle of ancient Indian temple architecture. If temple architecture of Pattadakal is original style then it won’t make sense to say that its amalgamation of Nagara & Dravidian architecture, which actually makes this site unique in India in the first place and that’s why included in UNESCO heritage sites.
