shoot, i made a mistake just now and deleted an old comment of mine linking to full footage of this performance, in the thread of which dr. arun sharma had replied with the following, which provides context for his other comment on this video: +Gautam Tejas Ganeshan You have such a great voice and expertise in Carnatic music. Please explain as to why you cannot sing a song whose words can be understood and get the bhava of the song. I am sorry that it is such a waste of a beautiful talent. Take a better version of your concert and post it here.

Gautam Tejas, I have heard one more video of yours on KZbin and I am not exagerating my appreciation of your voice and expertise on Carnatic music. It is my evaluation. If it is bad, I apologize. I cannot aloso blame you for the way you sing because most of the famous singers of Carnatic music adopt the same method of emphasizing more on raga and tala and completely neglecting the rendering of the lyrics in a manner that we get the clarity of words and get the bhava. Just see so many Tyagaraja songs that these experts sing and we do not understand what they sang. You are an upcoming artist and it is not to put you down, but to suggest that you give more importance to the proper rendering of the lyrics in a manner that people can understand what you are singing like in light music. It is up to you whether you wish to take my suggestion in good spirit. Wish you all the best ! No offense intended. I apologize if I hurt your feelings.
