If anything, the voltage would be less due to the voltage drop at the end of the LED strip. I'm going to guess the "rectifier" has additional circuitry that may include automatic gain control and also maintains constant current. This is my unverified speculation. Thanks for the video.

Thanks guys. I have a portfolio 240w transformer that I have set on "A" - automatic dusk to dawn. Recently, all of my lights connected to this transformer are on all the time 24/7. I can see the timer settings and am able to set the timer from 0-9, A, or off but the lights are still on. The only way I can shut off my lights is to unplug the unit. I suspect the external light sensor that hangs from a wire. I have it mounted on the wall as it has always been. Any ideas?

What type do you recommend for rope light? I am trying to connect different colors and the one brand, we cut it and half of it stopped working and then second set wouldn't light. Thank you!

Would you recommend power surge protector or separate outlet for rope lights?? My outdoor exterior Christmas led lights and rope led lights are all plugged into same one outlet via extension cords and the like. In past several days I have lost two controllers (rectifiers) for my rope led lights. I have 5 Costco Intertek rope led lights which draw 30 W each.

I have lots of exterior twinkling led lights (40) and rope led lights connected to same one outlet. My 5 Costco Intertek rope lights draw 30 watts each. In several days I have lost two controllers (rectifiers) connected to my rope lights.

Hello! Good job! I Have a question! What about the end of the rope, is it sealed or it's just as it is? I've seen an end of the rope on fire and I don't know why! How can I/you repare it? Yhanks for your help!

Hello Is there a trick to double back with the rope lights without just running a second section of rope lights? I want to install on roof ridge line . Basically trace the roof ridge .one section I'd run the rope down ine side of the ridge to the gutter, back up to the peak, then down the other side of the ridge line to the gutter .from the skiy looking down it would appear in the shaoe.of a "Y". I hope that makes sense.. basically need to know if there's a way to jump space without lights to make.it to another section of roof?? That k you

I just figured out when I was hooking up my rope lights I have two different companies for rope lighting is there any way I can hook one company's rope light to another company rope light
