Awesome question! First, there is no standard accent in English. However the California accent is the only one I know. The Californian accent is recognized around the world because Hollywood has been making content for a hundred years- literally- so speaking in a Californian accent is a powerful way to show fellow English speakers you’re down and you know what’s up. 😎

Sure. Technically it’s possible. I truly feel it’s a “bad” habit. Most Japanese people first learned incorrectly that sree was somehow the same as three. And that became somewhat engraved in the mind. As you become conscious of the difference, getting the tongue to move in new ways can be tricky. Most people will practice the TH by itself over and over again but as soon as they enter into the conversation, the focus shifts from their tongue to more vibing with the human in front of them, which requires 100% focus. Since all effort is focused on the person, the subconscious habits of jr high school slip in the cracks. So I feel it’s good to rehearse phrases at least 33 times in front of a real human 👍🏻

Talk and Toke are clearly not the same. I wonder how British people say toke. Too many accents and too many words 😵‍💫
