@@theduvaldummies Got it after only a week! And so far I’m loving it, got 2 10” subs aswell and the joying head unit sends plenty of power to it, plus I love KZbin on it as I eat in my truck before work. Thanks for all the videos on it as I had been indecisive on what head unit to get. Thanks!

@@theduvaldummies Thanks for replying/confirming. Joying is sending a new wiring harness and new 'brain' on a slow boat but this is not a hardware problem, its software. Since the play/pause works outside of Carlink, its not a hardware issue it's a software one. It's so hard to recommend units from companies who don't understand basic operation of the unit. I wish I could confidently try another "CarPlay" app but I don't know what I can safely install.

check out their website and you should be able to find a compatible unit. their customer service is decent through email. they take a few days to get back to you but they usually help out pretty good. thanks!

the music will continue to play as long as the Settings are correct. it comes from the factory with the music either off during reversing or it goes down to like level 2 or 3. Thanks!

Nope, those are Maxxis Big Horns 255/85R16.

There is no official warranty, but I suspect they would be very helpful if you encountered a problem.

Joying offers 2 year warranty on their head units.

If you are plugged in it will work for apple or android and the screen will stay in the car play or android auto app. Or you can use bluetooth to connect wirelessly. The only time you need hotspot is when you are trying to run things like KZbin or Netflix directly on the Joying unit.

I have never had any issues with heat.

I love it. I just did the software update today so hopefully that will fix the connecting issue I was sometimes having. As far as glitches go, I haven't had anything happen. The connection issue only happens sometimes and when it does I just open my phones Bluetooth disconnect from the joying unit then reconnect it. Not to big of a deal for me. I 100% would recomend this. Check out the video we posted last week about the newset unit Joying has out. Its their Qualcom Snapdragon Software.

Unfortunately you have to either get the Sim Card for it or run your phone on hotspot to use the maps by themselves. I always use android auto so its not an issue for me. That sim card goes into a card holder on the back of the brain of the head unit.

I should add, I have a 2014 Tacoma with factory backup camera. The camera is working as well as the usb port. I did have to use their microphone, other than that all functions working.

@hurtingdirt I did a quick search for CANBUS (I literally had never heard of that before, so thank you for that!) I found this on Tacomaworld.com "For others that may come across that thread. I have successfully mapped the steering wheel controls of my 2012 TRD to an ATOTO SA102 starter using the ground, SW+ and SW# wires on the radio harness to pin 6-7-8 (respectively) on the 20 pin connector of the car. After pairing the keys in the radio interface, everything works fine without any additional control box." NOW, I do not know anything about this, so I take no responsibility on what that Tacomaworld.com post said to do. But unfortunately that's the best answer I can give you. Let me know how it goes! Thanks for your responses. I ultimately returned the unit for another fault. As for the steering controls, I was advised by Joying that the 2014 Tacoma with Canbus Decoder was NOT programmable. It was locked into som sort of default programming. Overall my experience with Joying was not good. The entire transaction from start to refund took over two months and at no time did I have a fully functional head unit (until I put my factory one back in place :) ) Thanks again everyone, this info may prove helpful if I decide to try a different radio, perhaps Desaita or Aucar. In truth, I'm thinking these radios are kinda junk ( I had two and both had problems ) and the support experience is terrible. Rant over. Thanks again!

Factory head or Joying???

Does it do it both connected and wireless through Bluetooth? Email Joying directly about it, they take a long time to reply and there is a small language barrier, but get the ball rolling by asking them if it's a software issue and how it can be fixed. Then if sending it back, you have already developed a relationship with the person, and they can help you quicker. Their customer service is slow, but good. Please let me know what you come up with!

They just released a new universal single den 10 inch screen with new software. They just sent it to me to make some videos on. 99.9% perfect! The only issue I am still having is the connection issue when I start my truck. It only does it every so often, and I have found that if I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone and then turn it back on, it connects. It's kind of annoying, but worth not spending $900 or ever on the top of the line brand.

It's a Ham radio, it's the TYT TH-7800. I dont think they sell the 7800 in the US anymore (due to the fact it came unlocked and ready to roll from the factory) now you have to get the TH-9800. Same exact radio, you just have to download the TYT computer program that allows you to program your radio from the computer (1000% easier than on the radio). Hook the radio to the computer and unlock it through the program. Thanks for watching and getting involved!!

I just got my 10.1" model from Amazon and it did not come with the reverse camera harness.

@@paulparuginog806 I plugged in every pulg that would fit, from the truck to the provided wiring harness. The camera had something to do with the yellow aux type cables in the joying harness. Plugged the in to out and it worked.

@keatonmonroe530 Yeah 3 weeks after I did this video the harness was announced. Lol sucks for me, but oh well that's how it goes.

You have to remove the 5 yellow clips from oem head unit and transfer them over to the Joying unit.

Yeah Paul is correct, also I did not use the factory bracket. In the video I put the bolts back in like I was using it, I didn't even realize during filming that there was no bracket lol. It wasn't until someone pointed it out on a comment that I realized what I had done. But if that bracket messes up the fitment just take it out, I have been on a few big off road trips since I have installed it with just those 5 yellow clips and it has not ever moved. So you should be good unless you are doing extreme jumps or something lol
