All the things I said would happen but didn’t, really did. Not really but they did in an imaginary unreal way so I was right. This is why religious people get laughed at.

Wish I could’ve attended but alas work dictates life. It is fitting that the last living MoH recipient from the war was a marine from West Virginia. A state that has a fighting spirit equal to that of the Marine Corps. We are a state born from conflict and when we gained our independence from Virginia we marched to Pennsylvania to fight alongside the rest of the Union army and defeated the Confederacy on that now hallowed ground. We fought the coal companies and the government in the 1920s for fair working hours and a livable wage in what became known as the Coal War. Later after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and the USS West Virginia was damaged she returned in late 1944 with a vengeance and made sure that she was the last of the big ships to sound her guns in anger in 1945. I’m proud to have heroes like Woody shown the respects given to him by a grateful country and a proud state.

My grandfather was a bronze star recipient from WW2. It saddens me to know that the greatest generation will soon be gone forever. My great grandparents survived the concentration camps. My grandfather is rolling in his grave. This world we live in today is not what he fought for. Shame on us all.

Woody and my father were stationed at El Toro after the war. I was just a kid then but Woody was a good Marine. He lived in Eugene Oregon at the end of his life. He deserved this final tribute.!!!

Woody was a very humble and gracious man. I guarantee he would have rather had a simple goodbye as opposed to the burial he earned. That’s how I remember him. The great thing about Woody was when he was in the room with Marines he was at home. To him it didn’t matter how many ribbons he or you had or how many times you were deployed. He didn’t make a fuss he would say about his MOH around his neck (but we did). He would say he wore it for the Marine he lost that day whether he knew them or not. He loved being with fellow Marines. He never put self before others. He would always want to know about you and how the family was. It was my pleasure to have known such a humble man and Marine. Woody gave his last breath to good cause. May he rest easy and never be forgotten. Thank you for the video. Semper Fi!

The valor of this marine is of the greatest generation Who suffered And triumphed over evil. The hardships and ultimate sacrifices they made paid The cost for every American's way of life and liberties. There is No way any American can begin to repay the debt Owed to the men and women who served in WWII. Yet the greatest tragedy would be to allow future generations to forget, to not remember, to not honor their legacy. The greatest honor and thanks would be to ensure every child of future generations is educated 8n schools of the history of what The men and women who served in WWII did not only for them, but for the world.

Firstly, let us ALL honor Mr. Williams service and dedication to our country! I myself have had the Honor of personally knowing MANY WW2 Veterans....all whom have passed from Us. ......And whom I'm certain would be astounded at the condition that our country is in today---largely, I believe is due to the fact that soo many people have turned their backs on God....Enough said.

I enjoyed brother Camping radio station "family radio" music and bible reading in 1998. Later in 2000 I began to enjoy all his sharing on the Bible. I even went to one of the conferences in San Jose California and the trip to the beach in Santa Cruz, Ca. With my family and friends. The fellowship with other believers was awsome. I sat next to Camping couple of times during meals at dining room. I always saw Camping as a relative you never hate.
