That little Jag sedan at 24:15 may look.....ehhhhhhh....."modest", but those cars had the most incredibly elegant, plush British interiors when new. No one did interiors then like the Brits - all wood and leather, superfine.

Friend in high school had a very nice red and white '57 Olds. They had a J2 option that had 3 two barrel carbs (not his). Very low production. Thanks for watching.

Planning on going this year and was wondering is Friday qualifying and then Saturday is the races or do you know what the schedule is for that weekend

Not positive, but usually they test and tune on Thursday, maybe some qualifying. Friday, they qualify and have some eliminations. Saturday is racing. In between all this, they have exhibition runs, gassers, maybe a funny car or two, Straight Axle Mafia, plus the show cars and the swap meet. It's a GREAT show. Hope you make it.

One of Beech Bend Raceway's advantages is, it centrally located to most of the nation. They host the Hot Rod Reunion, Tri-Five Nationals, Buick GS Nationals, and other big events. Also, if you bring your family, there is a park for the wife and kids. Roller coaster and other rides. Also a campground. Something for everyone. The track and pits are great. Lots of room in the pits. If you ever come, you'll be back. Thanks for watching.

Mine too. I live within one hour of the track. They have most of the major events and a bonus Park for the wife and kids if they are not into racing. Absolutely Awesome place. Thanks for watching.

@@No-N-R-G I live an hour north of Bowling Green. Lol. I'm surrounded by Windy Hollow, Chandler Raceway, Hardinsburg (u.s. 60) and Beech Bend. Racing has always been great in this area.

You have to pay to rent a golf cart, but if you are handicapped,you can bring a cart. Cost $20 a day for ticket, or you can get a 3 day pass for 2 people, 2 goody bags, and a chance for a car they give away for $65. Great deal. Thanks for watching.

Schon ab 2027 ist das Verbrennerfahren wohl außerhalb von Berufs- und Lieferfahrten nicht mehr gestattet, die Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbotsverordnung BABVVO wurde unlängst angekündigt und damit ist Abgasbespaßung bald verboten. Die Transporttourismusemissionsbeschränkungsbundesverordnung TEBBVO wurde auch angekündigt....soll alle Verbrenner Nutzfahrzeuge, Baumaschinen, Landmaschinen und sogar Binnenschiffe bis 2035 von den Straßen / Wasserwegen holen. Omnibusse in den Städten (und alle Taxen) müssen schon bis 2025 vollkommen auf E Antrieb umgestellt sein (EU verordnung angeblich!)! Das wird lustig! Haben Sie mal Berlin leaks gelesen? Da zieht es einem die Schuhe aus! Die planen quasi die Demobilierung unter dem Deckmantel eines Feldzuges gegen "Bespaßung unter Nutzung fossiler Antriebsenergie" im Straßenverkehr..die SOKO Autoposer soll in Zukunft Jagd auf alle Spaßfossilfahrer machen! Das wird eine STVO Stasi mit BABVVO-Apps zur Überwachung als Helferlein zur Kontrolle der Abgasbespaßung...!!!!

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!

Have attended the NHRA HRR several times at Fomoso near Bakersfield, CA. Always a good time. About 10 years ago I was sitting in the stands and a small group of men sat down right next to me and in front of me. The group included Don Prudomme, Roland Leong and Mike Dunn. Leong never stopped talking the entire time he was there. 🤣
